You usually get what you pay for when it comes to meters.

meaning?
does £40 = a good or bad meter then?
whats the measurements between a good meter and say, an expensive meter?
and what kinda brand names would fit into the 'works pretty accurately enough to grow weed' category?

I use the Ph/Temp (Red Pen) and the EC/TDS (Blue Pen). They'll run US$100.00 t0 $120.00

I clean mine once a month and calibrate them. They're good pens.

I also use a Blue Labs all in one. Ph, Nutrient and Temp. Kinda spendy though US$250 or higher.
But worth every frickin farthing.

I personally own a nutradip Tri-meter. I have owned it for years now, and calibrate it once per grow just because.(usually does not require adjustment) I purchased it through my local grow shop as a "refurbished" unit and have not had a single issue with it ever. If you choose to purchase lower quality meters, you will more than likely end up replacing them every year or two, and will end up becoming much more expensive in the long run. That is what I was trying to say.

You might want to look into a BluLab Truncheon stick. Made in New Zealand, an Excellent product, and well worth the C-Note.
