dimming question

I have 2 gavita 1700e's in a 4x8 tent, with the lights as high as they will go. I also have a controller EL2 connected, dimmed down to 50%. I still think I'm getting too much light. Is there any way that i can dim the lights a little more? The par or ppfd at the canopy is at 350-365. It seems to be a little too much for young plants. The light is 46" above the canopy. Am i out of dimming options? thanks

Maybe just use 1 light until the plants are big enough to take it. Good luck...

You could reduce the hours of light.

You can try gas lantern routine, 12h on, 5.5 off, 1h on and 5.5h off and restart. Keeps them in veg but ymmv.

I emailed gavita support, and they said if i dim it below 50% with any other controller the light will shut off. I'm going to try a sheet of plastic between the light and the plants. Just until they get a little bigger/used to the light. I just got to find the right plastic. Something for greenhouses maybe.

if you see no other way, you can burn some photons in a diffuser like this, gonna give you soft light..
