Post pics man! I'm growing a critical mass x skunk#1 auto right now, I hear great things about all critical crosses! Good choice on pot size btw, most people go too small with autos.

still waiting on it to pop out of soil... i should have germed it longer. i put it in early with the tap root just starting to poke out of the shell.....lets give her 2 more days and if it doesnt pop up im ganna gently move some of the top soil . to make sure the little baby isnt stuck down there compacted too much

Heres some pics of my set up...it is made by taking regular light fixtures and wiring them and screwing them to a 2x4 running them length wise. along with screwing in little wooden notches in the wall to have them rest on so it will be adjustable on the other end theres a wooden piece running the other way horizontally to the light boards , that is used to support the 2x4s with the lights on it by tieing it up with hemp rope

also the trash bag is to act as sort of a humidity dome

alright the pics for day 2 , i made some modifications .... i lined the walls with emergency blankets . and i ghetto riged up my lights with 5000k 6500k and 3500k bulbs in 1 socket to get them all as close to the little plant as i could , my grow space is a little messy with wires n shit right now because most of the way its designed is to get light coverage on the larger plant. but anyway heres some pics

lookin good! how close are your lights to the little girl?

also i was wonderign what your take on this is. Do you think slow growth has to do with the lights being to far away? Like CFLs are great cause they let of very little heat and are cheap, but they dont pentrate very well and have a fairly limted distance in there light 'usabilty'.

i know the best way to tell is put your hand byt the plant and see if its hot. but whats a good indication of if the lights are too far away? like streching would be one. is slow growth assosiated with light distance...
just wondering.

i literally get it as close as setup allows me to ...i have 10 lights running right now of thos 10 2 are with in less then a half inch the rest sit about 2- 2.5 inches away from the little seeding .... once they get larger i never have any bulbs more then an inch away from the plant , ive had very good success with cfls if u keep them within an inch... on my bubba papay diesel short ryder grow seen in my signature i grew all the way out with cfls had no density issues very fat nice nugs , thats because i always had the cfls near almost touching the plant. i had to go in daily to adjust the plant if it grew into the cfl ....dont get me wrong letting your plant sit on a cfl isnt great but it doesnt do much more then make the leaf a little yellow and dry and as long as your not burning the whole plant it will love the cfls that close......its really hard to be too close with cfls...if your too far away u get slow growth and alot of stretching in between nodes

pics for day 6/7ish dont mind the hair in the soil i have cats and i used a fan that had some hair stuck in it and it shot onto my soil DSCN0446.jpgDSCN0444.jpgDSCN0445.jpg
i switched her from 24/7 to 20/4 last night, as well as added a 150 watt= i dont know the actual watt of the 150 2700k . that puts me at 10 bulbs. 5 6500k at 23 watts . 3 5000k at 23 watts. 1 150 equivalent 2700k and one 23 watt 2700k. by the time the plant is a little larger i plan on adding about 5 more lights and my 65 watt 2700k for flowering
on another side i am very tempted to start my Dutch passion blueberry tonight as well so this journal might be + 1 more plant soon

Day 7 ima ganna just say 7 cuz im pretty sure i messed up on my days there,
.i had to deal with high heat today a freak heat wave for where i am. walked into my closet and it was 100f with the lights on . so i had to take some unimportant lights from the back out and really pump the fans
