I've seen all kinds of bumbling when it comes to measuring nutes. Perhaps my favorite was watching an associate pouring from a gallon jug into a tablespoon while all jittery from smoking too much Haze. That ain't gonna cut it, but it sure was funny, especially when brutally stoned.
When using gallon jugs (I use 7 GH products), I use a pump dispenser from Sally Beauty Supply. Restaurant supply stores often have them , too.

The liquids are pumped into graduated cylinders obtained from China on ebay or dhgate for dirt cheap. Keywords - glass graduated cylinder set. I use 10, 25, 50, and 100ml and greatly prefer glass with highly visible gradations. The pumps run about 3 pumps per 10ml and once you get to know how a particular nute and pump work together, you can pump with great accuracy and speed - I generally come within 1ml without looking.
