dissapearing seeds?

It's kind of strange, I germinated a seed and I put it in the soil. I waited 4 days and nothing happened so I decided to go through the soil and look and I just couldn't find the seed lol. I had a plant growing in that soil before so that couldn't have been the problem.

I also checked every bit of the soil because there wasn't alot of it. 3-4 Inches thick. I didin't want to wait any longer because the last plant came out of the soil within one night after it was germinated. Any one know where I went wrong, I sure as hell wouldn't want this to happen again.

It was inside in a small pot.

i got my seeds didnt do no gay paper towel method or whatever, i got my seeds put them in moist soil and left them till they came up...

they are doing fine and i water them every 3 days... so idk

Maybe a bird flew in and took it.

so how long did it take urs? i was only a lil impaitent cuz it never took this long before. i tried planting other seeds before and its been 3 weeks which seems like a lot lol. but maybe ur right and im just impatient lol

I always germinate my seeds, never had a problem. Usually up in a couple days.

scratch the seed very lightlywith sand paper
soak in cup of water for 12-24 hrs
put inbetween moist paper towel, cover with plastic
less han 24 hrs should have white tap root
plant white down about ,no more than inch
it should be above soil in 12 to 36 hrs
easy

Yeah thanks for the tip i did that last time but without the sandpaper part, worked fine except the part where it comes out in 12 to 36 hours lol. thanks anyways though
