i have a 250 watt hps i have the right extractor kit for the space i am using, the space is 5ft height 3 wide and depth, how far should the light be from the plant the plant it is ready to go into budding and is about 2 feet of the floor

as a rule of thumb put your hand at canopy height if the light is too hot for your hand to be there its too close but if your hand doesent burn nor will the plants get it as close as poss:lol:

Do me a favor and when you start a topic in 1 section wait for it to get answered dont keep starting new topics in different sections, especially a topic thats been beat to death a million times.Use the search function, read stickys.Thats what they are there for.

With a cooltube, you can get it like 15-20 cm from the plant tops no problem. without a cooltube, just feel with your hand; if it feels comfortably warm, it fine for the plant.

make sure it covers the whole plant equally,

if you got it too close, some parts will get much more light than the other parts.

and creating lots more shadows.

can you do me a favour?

Some people get all weird like that bro, don't listen to them and ask away

Optimum light distance at t. hat wattage is 5-16 inches. Anything closer it could get too hot and more than that your not optimizing your light source. I have a chart at different wattage's I will try and dig up and forward later when I have more time. I agree this forum has a ton of info already available without posting (just learn how to get at it). I've been on several similar forums and this is a really good one and for the most part people are helpful and mellow. If you don't want to answer the question then move on. If you want to be helpful explain to the guy how he can obtain the info on the site without posting.

thanks dude thats my problem i dont know how to use the website thats why i post ,but anyway tr get that chart for me please.
