stoned and trying

would this work on isopropyl?
basically, you will be paying $1 for 28ml 50% H2O2, that's way way more than what it would normally cost. damn, I buy 30 Liters of 35% peroxide for like 40$. this method is like removing fat from soap and trying to resell it to soap manufacturers, just doesn't have any merit whatsoeverChemical Ali;743457 said:What Im saying is out of one pint or 473 ml of normal off the shelf peroxide, you can obtain 14 .19 ml of 100% peroxide by placing it in the freezer and locking up the water. Then remove the pure h202 and dilute it to whichevr strenth you choose. Its a very basic concept I think its just over looked.
H2O2 =
97% water
3 % H202
Yield of 100% h202 = 14.19 ml
If you wanted 50% strenth just add 14.19 ml of water to yield 28.38 ml of 50% h2o2
@ a cost of about .99 cents
From where? I've yet to see 35% for less than ~$10 per liter and I could use a restock.I buy 30 Liters of 35% peroxide for like 40$.
It is usually used in sterile hydroponic systems...in soil, I'm not too sure. Maybe as a one or two-time wash to get rid of bugs?my brain doesn't get why you would put peroxide into your soil.
Damn...I read through 3 pages of Bullshit to get to a competent answer at the very end ... thanks (I think!) P.S. we need a Cannabis "Myth Busters" crew, want the job?I call bull shit! the freezing point of H2O2 is -0.43 degrees Celsius. that's less then 1 degree difference from the water that the h2o2 is mixed with. So, unless your freezer is exactly 32f (which it isn't) you just get one block of ice. i tried. its not like alcohol.
My thoughts exactly; I was going to warn of that myself. Not really something that should be treated as a "toy". I would hate to see your skin after exposure to 100% H2O2... I find 35% to be bad enough.
Hydrazine is also rarely, if ever, used in "toy bottle rockets".
They use it in commercial satellites for a reason. Unlike black powder bottle rockets.
Im new so maybe I'm just revistitng something here.
Simply place 3% peroxide into the freezer to lock up the 97% water and now simply decant off the remaing 3 percent that will now be 100%, dilute per needs. This beats paying for the horto grade hands down.

Well the bleach will kill all bad and good microbes so yah I'd imagine it would work at small doses although plants do react to bleach. H2O2 will kill most but then it could boost other things as it breaks down to oxygen. Not sure what happens when bleach reacts with Ammonia in some of the plant food products.somewhere i read that in a side by side test with h2o2 and clorox bleach that the bleach did a better job at keeping the res sterile and pathogen free. I dont buy into the h2o2 scheme anymore ive been running clorox for a year now at a rate of 1/2 ml per gallon every 3 days same bottle i bought a year ago. my roots stay nice and white.STOP wasting your money on h2o2. shit will burn ya too!
Not sure either bud all i know is that ive had several succesfull runs with it. I do know that it will react to the h2o2 so if your allready running h202 you need to let it desipate out of the res before trying the bleach. it will react. growing is just a never ending science project. we all have a hypothesis. but what is the conclusion ?Well the bleach will kill all bad and good microbes so yah I'd imagine it would work at small doses although plants do react to bleach.
