Ok so this is my first time even trying this and its day 5 no results and the pant is looking like it has some nitrogen burn. I could be wrong but if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is my set up

18L rubbermaid container
plastic humidity dome I bought from dollar store
15 1 inch holes on top
I used the inside of a helmet for my foam 1 inch inserts
ph is 5.8-6
temp is 81.2 too high?
humidity is nice and high
I used a tiny bit of A and B hydroponics formula I had
and I used wilson roots liquid root stimulator.
the stem is about half inch from water and lots of bubbles hitting it at all times

first I took my clone from my plant with sterilized everything then I cut the two lower fan leaves that were on it I shaved the side of the stem close to the bottom and I also split it then I left it in a shot glass of my ph'd water and tiny bit of nutes then I emptied the shot glass dipped the root in the liquid root let it sit for about 6 min then I put it in my bubble cloner and hoped for the best but things are not looking great. This is my first time cloning so I dont even know what they should look like someone please HELP!

1 - I'm no expert.
2 - Relax, 5 days is nothing, when you get really good at cloning....maybe.
3 - Ug, lose the dome, you're getting all the moisture from below.
4 - Ug, unused I hope.
5 - If you're worried, drop the stems a bit into the water.
6 - Change water every 2 or 3 days and use a water treatment (pondzime, H2O2 etc.).
7 - Clones don't like a lot of light, what are you using?

Good luck, and have fun.

1. Any help is always appreciated!
2. I just saw the burns and thought I maybe put too much nutes and maybe should not have put any at all?
3. I had the dome because I saw others with it online but I will definitely get rid of it :bigjoint:
4. The helmet foam I assume your talking about? it was brand new had it laying around worked perfect.
5. The stem is always wet the only thing im worried about is I scraped the sides of it and also split it in the middle not very deep but is this a problem possibly?
6. You think its really necessary to change the water before it shows some roots? and im a noob when it comes to this water treatment? I assume I can pick this u from my hydro store?
7. It is a 2 4 foot t5s they are pretty far from the light...

Thanks again for all your help!

Actually you're right, no nutes at first, I missed that.

I tried the dome too, but with the extra humidity from the bubbles I got some sort of dusty mould that killed all the clones.
I'm doing somewhat better without it, just overcame a clear stem slime that I think I got from contaminated rooting gel.

I've had very little luck when splitting the stem but I wouldn't be too worried.

For me, changing the water turned out to be critical. If I waited a week or so I'd get green algae, I suppose some water treatments would take care of that.
And yes, you can get it from your hydro store. I just started using DNF (Dutch Nutrient Formula) Hydro Sparkle, and I have to say it's working a lot better than the H2O2 I was using.

I'll tell ya though, when you do start to get roots, it doesn't take long to go from this...

Thanks! I took the dome off and im going to change the water right now without putting any nutes in it. DNF is actually the A and B formula I was using in the water and I have definitely seen the DNF hydro sparkle at my local shop looks like I will be picking some up tomorrow. Thanks again for your help!
