one last question. i know i'm must be gettin annouyin, but my buddy did something like wat your descibing and said he had a lot of algea build up on the roots from all the moisture. does that effect the plants growth or anything?
Algae can only grow or appear when it has LIGHT. To avoid ALGAE, keep
the light out of the tank.

yo rose man im finally ready to build my babys...if u look at my growspace u'll see im flowering in a bathtub/shower enclosure...i think what i want to do is fit 4 units next to each other that would fill up the actuall bathtub that way i can have each unit on a diff. stage of flowering with diff. nute strengths and just move the entire top over once the last unit hits harvest....well it works on paper...lol..

im buillding a spray cloner too just to insure genitics it will be a 25 site cloner...i dont think i'll be keeping any moms. instead i'll lollipop the plants inthe first unit in the flowering chamber straight to the cloner then back into the first unit for transition to flower..again it works on paper...wish me luck i will need aloooot of your help with the units im kinda retarded when it comes to buildin shit but your design looks very straight forward...i already got alot of help comin from purpdaddy but theres always more to learn thanks in advance for all your help

soory roseman i was asking for your opinion and i dont think i explained my self...kinda stoned...so this is it in a nutshell:

cloner>transition strength nute bubbleunit>flower strength nute bubbleunit>full bloom flower unit>final flush unit (2 week cycles in each unit)

goal is to harvest one complete bubblponics unit every 2 weeks

once i take them from cloner i wanted to up the netcup size to like a 5''-6'' cup i was talkin to purp about it...what are your thoughts

Roseman,
I have found a 30qt. container which is approx 7.5gals that will fit in my cabinet. My question is should I still use 6gals of water or is that too much? Is there a certain ratio to use or should i just keep it a couple inches from the bottom of the net cups?
Also on a side note if i were starting with clones could i not go straight into flowering with them, and if so would that not keep the plants shorter and be able to harvest sooner? Thanks again for your much needed wisdom :)

Nope, it's a starter system and Indica or Hybrids are better in the system. Guess it depends on what you consider a tree. I've seen 4 and 5' plants in the system with no problems.

The goal is a two inch air pocket between the top of the water line and the bottom of the grow cups.

Less VEG time = FASTER HARVEST
Less Veg Time = Shorter Plants
Less VEG Time = Less Yield

More VEG Time = More Yield, More Harvest, Larger Crops

Does this system work for giant trees?

On the Stealth Hydro website , it says here:

http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/page.php?xPage=grow.html

it says:

Keeping Size in Perspective
This system was not designed to grow six 6-foot tall Christmas Trees. (Although we have grown 3 plants, 3, 4 and 5 feet tall in one tank.) We have heard a few growers tell us "I just realized that the 6 plants are going to get very crowded after they get 3 or 4 feet tall". This system was not designed for 6 giant plants. There is a reason that the tank is 21 and a half inches long. When this system was originally designed, many factors went into deciding what size tank and pumps to use. The main factors were economy, simplicity, stealthness, and making sure the tank would fit into the end of a small closet, out of the way and out of sight. We've heard of a few growers that try to change to a much larger tank, and realize how much more work and trouble is involved in using a larger tank and moving larger quantities of water. Draining and replenishing the water can be a major task in a much larger tank. Not only are more larger and expensive air and water pumps needed for a larger tank, but larger pumps make more noise. Draining and cleaning a larger tank is a ton of work and trouble too. If you want to go with a bigger system, then connect two tanks together. And if you want to grow large plants, then start them in the Bubbleponics System, then transfer them into the Bucketeer Large Bucket DWC system. Or do like most growers do and just grow 2 or 3 large plants in one tank by selecting and keeping the more desirable three plants and disposing of the other three.

But I did grow these in it:

Instead of growing trees might I suggest that if you have two grow areas you set up two systems and veg one while you flower the other for a perpetural grow. Mine works like this. Veg a minimum of 5 weeks ( longer is better), throw that into flower and start the other system with either clones or seeds. Mine take 8-9 weeks to finish flower. When they are done I put the veg pot in the flower room and repeat.

then you do the hokey pokey, and you turn yourself around,
and
that's what its all about!

When the guy that wrote the "Hokey Pokey" died, they had a hard time getting his body into the casket. They put his right arm in, and his right arm came out....
