DIY Cloner Question

Can you use anything to substitute the neoprene inserts for diy cloners? I'm having trouble finding neoprene sheets to make inserts for my custom made holes, so I was hoping for any other substitutes. Would those foamy, cushion-y exercise mats work? I have one and the texture is like that of those floating noodle things people bring to swimming pools. I found a mat made of this material and its firm enough to hold cuttings in place, do you guys think it would work? My biggest concern would be if the material I would like to substitute neoprene with, will be more prone to bacteria, fungal, etc. growth. What do you guys think?

Wow I honestly cant stand reading any of your post.... Please learn to use grammar.

Dimedub do you have any pool toys? Those foam noodles are great to use, or you can go to a craft store like michaels and get a 1x1 piece of white styrofoam about 3/4 inch thick for a few dollars.

I actually bought a camping pad at Walmart for 5 bucks, feels and looks exactly like those foam noodles for swimming pools plus its one long sheet and not one long cylinder. The material is called polyethylene and is 100% waterproof. I just hope I won't encounter any growths (except for my babies of course :D)

That's it!! Your set then man congrats. neoprene is a huge waste of cash, my friend at the hydrostore told me to do this when I was doing the same thing which saves some cash.

Also to block the light just get some black paper or anything really that you fit right over the collar.
