Hi again, the plants are looking great even with all the changes in nutrient levels.
I raised the light 10" after adding the gravity... after a few hours this morning I noticed nothing wrong so I lowered the light 2"... after about an hour I noticed one or two leaves on my prize bud cupping a tiny bit on the edge, so back up the light came. It had previously been 5" off the top of the tallest buds, now it is 15" inches off.
The interesting part is that with the design, the side buds are the exact same distance from the light now as they were before. It's funny that when I started this whole thing the most confusing thing to me was when I read that growing vertically is the most efficient, and now I see why. The light can get to all the bud sites evenly, not much shade at all, just blast of light on everything.
This is totally not worth it, but you know what would be fun... to make a SUPER COLA... get some plant and veg it for a long time... then cut the side branches, just have the main top... then get 1000w lights, like 6 or 8 of them and mount them vertically around the plant, surrounding it. I bet you could get something like an ottoman... a big green ottoman, you could rest your legs on, then reach down and break off a nug to smoke, haha.
Anyways... after about 10 hours of light, all seems well with the plants, they look happy and I don't notice any problems or stress. I went ahead and added 5mL more Gravity. So now it is up to the lower recommended level of 1mL per gal. Or 25mL in my rez. My plan is this for now... in 24 hours if there is no signs of stress I will add another 5mL of Gravity, then do the same 24 hours after that... so the maximum amount would be 35mL. I am planning on running this mix for around 8-10 days. Then I will flush with water and FloraNectar and Zone... I don't want the roots getting nasty the last couple weeks with the mix of the FloraNectar and misfiring airstones.
Apparently my wife used my camera and didn't set the date... so we are going back in time to new years 2003 on these pics.
Thanks for the continued interest and input guys... I was freaking out the other night and am glad I had you all. These buds are going to be sweet.
And finally I feel like things are going to be great now... I found a good luck spider on the door inside my grow room.
