I have one... they are pretty cool. It's a really different high. It's like you think you aren't high, like you are missing something... and then you are sitting there and someone says something and it's all slow... and then you are like "damn I'm high". I don't know if it's just the model of one I have but it seems to use more pot than smoking it. Like I can't get a good vape hit without putting in about half a gram or something. But that lasts a long time, the high I mean. The biggest thing you miss is the feeling of smoking something... so I just smoke the stuff after it comes out the vaporizor... I don't know if it does anything, but it satisfies my desire to smoke something.

There are lots of different types of vaporizors... you should ask around RIU to see what kind people like. There are handheld ones, and the ones that use bags, the ones that use a hose (like mine). Also some heat the bud up real slow so it kinda takes a long time... others do it almost instantaneously. Plus they are crazy on price... I've seen some for $50 and others for $500, crazy. I think my wife bought mine in venice beach for around $110.

Let us know what you find man.

Good to have you back, by the way.

thanks man

yea they can get pricey i was thinking of a valcano or a iolite but i am trying to get some feed back first..... i like to go hiking so i was thinking of the portable would be really nice but yea the price

I do like taking my big hits from my binger but just lately my lungs hurt after i take a huge rip hahha wonder why right haha ..... but when i was up at my cabin 8000 feet omg man i felt like i was going to die when i took a hit .... i know my bodys gotta ajust and this was just my first trip of the year but dam man i didnt even feel like smoking because of what i had to go threw to get it

witch one do you have ? i was hoping it would help me cut down on how much i smoke i thought i lasted longer ..... i read you can use the left over nugs after you vapor to make butter, hash, or caps so you get two uses out of it.

I feel like vaporizers were created for this reason. You can't even feel it in your lungs. You taste it and that is it. Nothing to your lungs... it's crazy.

Mine is generic... I'll take a pic. It takes a while to heat up the pot, like 3 minutes.

Well it's at least one of the days.

I'm going to smoke my first bowl. The bud is dry and I manicured it real nice (if I do say so myslef).

I came out to weigh .88 grams.

I chopped off the extra trim this morning and was all excited, but I just sceduled a tutoring session yesterday... so I had to put the nice bud in a jar for a 5 hour cure, haha. The whole time I was tutoring I was thinking about going home.

Here I am and I'm typing to all you bums... that's how much I love you. I put of having a first taste of the bud I've worked about 3 1/2 months for, just so I can let you all know what's going on.

You guys are the best.

Here's some pics. Smoke report much later... I'm going to enjoy myself.

And In case anyone wants to smoke with me, I'll be lighting my bowl at exactly 3:40 pm Pacific Time.

I smoked with ya buddy!

Awaiting the report, albeit patiently!
Awesome.... thanks.

I am happy to report that I am nice and lit. When I opened my little jar, it smelled like plant... ew. I was thinking it would taste like trash, but actually not terrible. It should taste very nice after some cure.

I did wait a tiny bit too long drying it. It's pretty dry... oops. Whatever it will be gone soon enough.

The bud has a nice density to it... it's not rock hard nuggets, but there is absolutly no fluff to it. Just nice and compact... and it's a little hard to rip apart (but I'm thinking that's just some inner moisture).

As for the effects... it's more sativa than indica, like 60/40... I attribute this to me cutting this bud a little early. It's definely HEAVY... it's been 30 minutes now since I smoked and I feel very very nice. I'll let you know how long things last... actually I don't know if I will, I usually don't wait for things to wear off so much before tying again. I'll update later, how's that, haha.

When I first smoked I felt it in my head, and soon after my arms... and for the most part my head and arms are totally buzzing. There is totally some couch lock too... as I feel absolutely glued to the couch and my laptop... I'm the stoned meat in a technologically advanced comfort sandwhich. <--- proof I'm high

It's funny, I told my wife, I've never payed as much attention to the effects of smoking a bowl before, so it's a bit hard to compare. But overall I am very happy with this first bud, and am looking forward to trying her more powerful sisters soon.

Not to mention the White Widow in like a Month, ha.

Thanks again jesse... I really appreciate it.

Thank YOU Jig, for a great journal to partake in! I am happy for you brother! Gonna go off and smoke a bowl right now of my last crop and ask the weed God's for continued blessings, for me and the RIU fam!

I still don't know. Hopefully this week sometime. I am thinking the girls are testing me or something... to see if I can hold out. There are still so many white hairs and cloudy trichs.

I finished the nug I cut. Pretty gross without any cure... harsh. It wasn't as good as I said it was the first time. I was just thinking about it too much. It's good and all, maybe a $50 eighth... I'm hoping the stuff I cut this week will be in $65-70 area.

Thanks for checking in... I'll take some more pictures for your thoughts.

It looks great man. I still think they need more time though.

I would love to feel like everything is under control in my op right now, and I can just be patient. I am so scared its all gonna rot away now though, that I can't wait.

You can do it.

I'm reserved to the idea that the plants may be there another week. oh well it's only time. Tomorrow will mark 9 full weeks since they started to show flowers. I think this may have to do with the airstones being clogged... I really think they were on pause for a week or two, now they are unpaused (i hope).

I got another question in a message to me... thought I'd put it up on the thread.

If you could explain how you mixed and added your nutes that would be great.
Hey bro... here's what I do... is it right, I have no idea, but it has worked for me. First off I use the Dutch Masters Nutrient Scedule to figure out how much of each solution to use (I use the DM schedule becuase I use DM nutes). I am assuming you are not askin how to figure out how much of each to use.

What I do in the physical mixing and measuring is this.... I'll just walk you through the process. I change my tank every 7-8 days. I drain the old water as low as the pump will go.... then I unplug the pump, add 2 gallons and let them bubble with the airstones for a few minutes, then I drain that 2 gallons out... that is sorta how I flush the last little bit of old mix. I use an RO filter that pumps out 50gpd... so to fill my 28 gal rez I start filling gallon bottles the night before and stack them around the room. So... now that I've drained the 2 gallons extra, I turn off the pump and start adding water to the tank.

At the moment with the roots taking up space I fill my tank with 25 gallons to fill. I don't fill it strait away... I fill to about 18-20 gallons... then I save the rest of the water to mix the nutes with.

So... here's an average fill for me... DM Advance FLower A 400 mL, DM Adv Flower B 400 mL, DM Potash+ 95 mL, DM Max Flower 90 mL, DM Silica 45 mL, DM Zone 25 mL, Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus 240 mL, General Hydroponics FloraNectar 260 mL. I don't like any strait concentrated solution to go into the tank... and the more watered down the better. What I do is fill my liter measuring cup 3/4 full of water.. then add 100mL of A... dump that in the rez... fill the liter cup again... add 100mL a, repeat 4 times for A... do it 4 times for B... then I usually break down the Potash twice... meaning I measure out the 95 mL... then fill a liter cup of water, and dump half the potash in... and repeat. This way nothing that isn't pretty watered down ever gets into contact with my ph/ppm meter. or my fagile precious roots.

As for order I always do my Base Nutrients first and my Tank Sanitizer/ conditioner Last. The stuff in the middle I don't think matters the order.

I hope that helps a little bit I know you have organic ferts and your doing soil so it's totally different but there is some cary over. First of all, your organic nutes are fragile, so don't keep them in a warm place, or a light place, keep the bottles in a dark cool place. Also make sure to never mix strait nutes... not like they will blow up, but it is best to measure out one and add it to the water, then measure the next and add that.

For soil I think you would do like me, but putting all the mix into a bucket, to eventually water the plants.

I already said it, but I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

:peace:

So today marks the end of 9 weeks since the flowers had a bunch of pisils all over the place. Not only are the plants not ready for harvest... many of the buds are still growing. A few of the Hindu Skunk buds have almost doubled in size in the past week.

Looking at them all I would guess that 40% of the HS are still growing bigger, and All of the WW is still growing.

I changed the rez out yesterday. Becuase things are still green and growing, my guess is thereare still nutes stored up, so I'm using the gravity as I think it helps them use their nutes up (that idea comes from nowhere but thin air). I added 25 gal RO water, 65 mL Silica, 30 mL Gravity, 250 mL FloraNectar (to use it up), and 25 mL Zone.

I would guess now that I might not chop things for another 2 weeks. What do you guys think about that? Any theories why things are taking so long?

I would guess the bubbles not being there for a while, could the pH balance/ nute lockout also make things take longer. I would think the lockout wouldn't make it longer, just not as good. It's all very strange to me. I kno this is my first time growing and all, but I would think that the plants take their cue from the 'sun'. And my lights have been 12/12 for more than 10 1/2 weeks now.

Once again, I'm not complaining, I'll take longer, even if it is not as efficient. It's just curious.

[shameless plug]... i uploaded a new video of my clones on the other journal in my sig.

Hey guys. I noticed some bottoms buds that are totally shaded that had some funky looking pistils on them. They were all 'burnt' looking... way beyond amber. So anyways, I cut the whole branch off... becuase it was mostly the gross looking pistils and it was burried behind bigger branches... so there was now way it was going to be getting bigger or better before I harvested everything anyways.

It is drying right now.

Here's the thread I stared about it:

https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/198446-plant-2-3-weeks-harvest.html

My wife bought a fleet of 30 new airstones for my grow... I replaced the ones that were in there and I hope that makes things progress.

The pH is very hard to adjust with no nutes in the water to buffer.

The plants are starting to smell more.

I'm really hoping to cut most of the Hindu Skunk by this time next week, haha. Never ending grow.

Also, my clones are already showing preflowers and ready to move.
