DIY co2 genertaor problems

So me and my partner started our grow room...its like 6x6x9 and we have two female bagseed plants in the second week of flowering. we just found a design to make your own co2 generator...now our rrom smells like yeast...did we do something wrong? is this normal? help plz

I read somewhere else that fresh air may be better anyway... didnt see much of a difference with the DIY cO2 gen..... kicking this method.... too much work and not enough space

If you are smelling yeast, then its working well. Remember that the liquid is turning into alcohol. Once it reaches around 14% the yeast will start to die. You will need to replace most of the liquid with more water and sugar and a dash more yeast.
