Ok, so I really haven't cared about smell before, but my girlfriend doesn't smoke, and she says the smell is overwhelming, so I have been trying to think of what I could do to filter the air, So I have a lot of old computer pars, So I took these old CPU Fans with the plastic covers, filled them with Carbon Air Filter material layers "3 layers" and have an 80mm fan on each end, I made two of these I will attach to the cabinet. My question is, I have never seen anyone suggest using a Carbon Furnace Filter.... I don't know why, because they are built to filter air "Most people I see, use the carbon from fish filters, that is made for water filtration..." So would the Carbon Furnace Filters work better, worse ??
Here is a picture, I took the other 80mm off so that you could see what it looks like, there is 3 layers of Carbon Filter inside
and if anyone's interested in how I did it, I will give step by step instructions.... Additionally, Would it work ok, if I put a dryer sheet on the end, so that when it comes out its freshened with a new scent ?
