These are the worst people to deal with. They are definitely not S6 diodes. By weight they do not use 2oz copper, and the connectors are garbage. Even the Molex lite trap connectors are only rated at 3 amps and these connectors are half the thickness. I understand they are cheap just understand you get what you pay for.
I ordered 4 boards 304 LED each at 3000k from rita and that company.. you can look at my grow journal and those lights grow good. Ive posted a picture almost everyday if you want to see. Ill report in my journal with weight once I harvest (just flipped to 12/12 few days ago) but so far very satisfied.. sorry you had a bad experience.. and im not saying they are legit s6 but to say they are crap or not worth it.. its a different story.. cost me 400usd including 2 days shipping from china to eastern canada ,heatsink, drivers, wires, wago connectors, etc.. not a bad deal IMO im getting 519w at the wall with 2x hlg-240-2100b without potentiometer..

Just thought Id share.. thank you for hijacking this thread tho..

Not sure how it's hijacking since the thread is about these boards. I guess we're only supposed to share positive experiences here? I'm just saying the boards are no where near what they're advertising. I have no doubts that they grow, I'm just sharing my experience so people can make educated purchases. Not saying they're a waste of money at all but the company is not selling what they say they are. That is all I'm saying.

Because it had already been reported on the previous pages that these were not lm561c they are lm561b+.. if you had taken the time to read the thread you would have known.. the guy is doing testing, par map, operating temp, etc.. if you run those boards at low power, not only you dont need a heatsink but they become extremely efficient..

So to make it simple If you use 2 of those boards vs 4xqb288 for example you get about 40% more diodes which mean if you run them at the same power youre getting a pretty good efficient bump while also having a very good spread. In fact 4 of those boards is probably still cheaper than the price of hlg550 retail price and youd get over 2x the number of diodes. So yes they are a great option for many who dont want to spend the big bucks

If you burned your boards because you push them to their limit thats your fault so dont blame them. You started your statement with "they are the worst people to deal with" my experience has been great with rita. but I feel you bought cheap from china and expected top quality warranty services of north american companies.. this is not how it works..

The goal of this thread is not to claim that these lights are legit lm561c s6 but to prove that they can be good, cheap, and still very efficient if ran at low power.

Im not gonna keep arguing with you but Im just gonna end by saying these boards look so far very interesting, they offer a very good value for the money spent and good spread. Its just good that someone is taking the time to test those lights and share the results with the community and I felt your comment didnt bring any added value to the thread! You were mad because you ran them at high power and burned the connector. No hard feeling.

No hard feelings on my end either. I just ran them with the same driver that the kit comes with. Sorry if I offended you, just wanted to be sure people knew these boards aren't what they're advertised to be before spending hard earned dollars expecting the product that's advertised. I'm new to the forum and didn't mean to piss anyone off.

Did anyone ordered those 288 quantum boards from Shenzhen Meijiu Lighting? I'm in contact with them and I don't know if there is a better China supplier.

@Moflow once again thank you for taking the time to do the extra research and provide the details. I was looking at samsung strips but to be honjest 2 x off these boards in my cab longwise and using the qb's I already have at the ends will be perfect. No need for heatsinks are u channel. All lights dimmed down for max 400-500 watts will be more than plenty and more efficient.
Cheers

The fixture measures 36" long - length of FOTOP Board and 27" wide.

It was just the size of bits of metal I had to hand to make a temporary frame to test them.
If it was 36" x 36" frame with heatsinks and a bigger driver, say a MW 480h-48 OR MW 600 were used I think they would cover a 4 x 4.

I also threw a reflective wall on one side of boards and the PAR numbers at the edge increased significantly - which I expected.
Good temps on back of boards too.

Exactly.
For anyone who wants a simple wiring solution to connect to a light that covers a nice bit of real estate - 36" x 10 " - with a few wagos a driver and a couple of wires this is it.
Good temps and good par readings.

I can't compare the boards to the Samsung strips as I haven't got any ..... yet lol

Thank you so much for this trial.
Concise, fact filled and clear photos.
One could hardly ask for more.
I've been mulling over an LED build for quite a while now.
It should be less difficult than a PC build I think?
You've probably tipped me over the edge (:

Great news!
Yea, if you can build a PC you can put a diy led together.
You'll get plenty of help if you have any questions by very knowledgeable, helpful people on this site :D
