Lol I snapped off a very large branch. I saw pictures were people tied down all branches and slowly vent them over. So I had some root h and hopfully it's good. The whole plant went ruby red today so the plant was getting very hard so just my inexperiance. I was tying down the other side and didn't realize I tied it from the handle @nd my hand went down on it and it smapped. Fingers crossed but the plant looks fine clean break at the base of the stem and branchI would say yeah, and you don't even have to be all that gentle, you just don't want the stem to really snap.(Although there are styles of training where you pinch/break the stem to get it to slump without tying it down and they recover pretty fast). But yeah, just tie it down so that the top of the plant isn't the highest part of the plant, it will redirect growth hormones into the branches that are now the tallest. If it (or any part) grows high just tie it down again. As far as what to tie it to, I would just punch holes along the rim of the bucket and tie it to that. The benefit is that as it keeps popping back up you can tie it in a spiral around the outside rim of the bucket and really make the most of the space. I'll see if I can dig up some pics I have of the process and the result.
Very helpful. The green spec do sent just the plant there is a large blue... It uv duh lol just got the blue light - ultra v... Got it I'm dumb sorry lol
That's pretty much what I told my wifle lol. But she saw the light board and was like you gonna fry them. The youngest is 1months and the middle maybe coming up on 1.5 no but it's hurting the most very very long strech. Far from light. The youngest close as I could get it. Burns are gone but the middle... Still burning. I reas you could flush your soil. I didn't think it would hurt them the FF is very low in evwrything the soil was a large improvement but I like you said the liq fert is unnessery. I'm getting better results with just a small amount of the happy frog soil fert in and on top all but the middle are responding well. Even with the branch breaking plant looks great. My first instinct is that it is definitely the fertilizer, those plants are young enough they should be totally fine with just the ferts that are naturally in the happy frog soil, no need to add more, and especially no need to add big bloom yet. You usually don't need to start adding fertilizer until at least 1-2 months in, at least in my experience (and more like 3 months if you're using something like Ocean Forest or Vermifire), and if you are fertilizing the soil prior to planting only do it in the bottom 1/3rd of the container so the plant has at least a little bit of time before the roots reach it. There is literally zero chance that it is burning from the lights, CFLs will only burn your leaves if they are physically touching the coils, even like 2 inches of distance is enough to prevent it (And really you want the lights about as close as you can get without touching the plants, the closer the better).
there is a learning curve to this. I have split main stems trying to train them but if you tape it back together if will heal you may need to wrap it with yarn or thick string to give it enough support but it will heal. not a fatal mistake. good luckLol I snapped off a very large branch.
