DIY inexpensive light reflector.

Hello all,
I came across: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy5fzPlsXK0 It is a very simple light reflector made out of duct pipe. Will the duct pipe have the right reflective properties to reflect the light effectively? That tutorial uses CFL and I am wanting to use a 250watt HPS. Will the heat output of the 250watt HPS effect the duct pipe? What are your opinions on this reflector design?

-Thank You,
shizzi

i think that if you want a good DIY reflector for a 250W, you really want it to reflect light perfectly with no risk of burning. you can get a sheet of white metal and cut it to right angles and shape, thats how i would do it, but unless your handy, imo buy a hood. could find some cheaper product or even consider vertical...
