Hey Supra, could you please do the same calculations for CXB3590, 36V, bin CB, Model:CXB3590-0000-000N0HCB30G

I can get these from Jerry (jl@kingbrite.cn) for $48.50
I would like to compare them to CXA3070 if it makes sense going with 3590.

It doesn't look like the metal feet are on firm ground, I had to redo 1 of mine and rotate it a little bit so that the metal and plastic feet ere on solid ground. It is important to do that to make sure it is squarely seated.
I hear you, but if those metal feet are over the edge of the bump then the whole thing sits better, the feet are pressing on the metal, just sitting on the ramp of the bump rather than proud from the upper surface.....much more stable and the COB is very firmly held against the heatsink of the CPU cooler. From a "squarely seated" perspective, it couldn't really be tighter and there is no movement when I try and twist or pull the chip holder. It was my father-in-law's idea to seat them like this, as it really seemed to make a difference to how well the COB was pushed up against the heatsink.

Does anyone know if 240v mains power supply is going to give one HLG-120h-C1050 running a two CXB3590's an issue? I asked Jerry from Kingbrite if he could suggest a driver supplier And he responded that he could not because of our mains voltage! Seems odd to me as our mains power is within the input range of the aforementioned driver? Maybe Jerry just couldn't be arsed when it wasn't going to make him any money? Anyway I have two on the way from Mouser (I had in my head they didn't ship over here for some reason:/) and just hoping I haven't wasted my money!! Any help appreciated. Cheers Uzzi

No worries, it will work just fine.

HLG-120 driver support input voltage of : 90 ~ 305VAC

Anyway, 240V is within the 230V norm :

Voltage levels :

Most of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and most of South America use a supply that is within 6% of 230 V. In the UK and Australia[3] the nominal supply voltage is 230 +10%/−6% to accommodate the fact that most supplies are in fact still 240 V.

The feet are all supposed to be on a flat surface with no wobble. It's in the manufacturers instructions. It'll probably be OK. Just thought that I'd mention it.

Quite unbelievable really. I bought 8 COB holders first. Total value around $16/$17 then 8 reflector adaptors in a separate order...for a similar value. Total shipping $0!!!

Can't get my head around it. Arrow EU don't do the low quantities.

yo, what reflectors are you going to use with those LEDiL adaptors? I might want to do the same.

Is there a product characterization tool for the CXB like there is for the CXA lights? I can't seem to find anything. Just wondering how much more efficient the CXB are over the CXAs.

well.. to be sincere Biz i wanted to use the ideal holders... and i just wanted to have the ledil adaptors in hand for any further improvement but i have not decided anything yet... i plan to run a tent so probably i would not even need the reflectors but i wanted the adapters just in case... you know.

To Biz... i cant really help you on this, i know some other guys have made some tests and have much much more experience regarding reflectors...
i have to buld my first GrowLed yet;)
