UZ, do you have a link to those drivers?
fo sho, and great thing is, that this dude got supply in Europe, somewhere in Netherlands, maybe in USA too, so it helped me to avoid taxes, and price was already cheap...

I believe I own one of the drivers - bought it off ebay but never got to use it as I became one of the many followers of @SupraSPL and his fascination of efficiency.

As @Greengenes707 points out below, the drivers we may or may not exactly be referring to have ~91% efficiency. The one I ordered was rated at 1400mA and decided not to use it as I work with Vero 18's. 700mA~1050mA is my mark nowadays.

However, the driver, with the Vero 29 would make a nice pair.

Sorry guys, what you meant by this :D
We used to get a driver that was 91% efficient off ebay. In the recent months the seller, who is in the US, no longer is carrying them. They still can be found(or ones super close) straight from china...which is what I thought those might be. And I think supra tested those one, and they were in the 89% range...still good, but I can't resist hlg's these days.

Thanks for the link!

Just from looking, I think those are the same 50W drivers that Sure-Display sold, a light grey dull finish and same sticker. I ordered one to check out and it tested OK, 87-88% efficient and put out 1400mA, non PFC. (SIDE STORY - when I ordered the next batch they were all faulty, only putting out 750mA and 83% efficient. Also they were squealing. Another RIU member ordered a big batch and they were faulty as well. To add insult to injury, after I paid to send them back to China, Sure Display claimed there was nothing wrong with them and refused to refund. Then they banned me from their ebay store AND the original driver that tested OK actually burned out LMAO!)

Anyway I would expect 1400mA from the ones uzi linked and 87-88% efficient, non PFC. The next best option to the perfectdeal_US drivers that I know of, that is compatible with CXA3070 is this, 89% efficient, 1470mA, 42Vf max and PFC.

It's Alive! View attachment 3337235 My latest creation a 4 CXA3070's running @ 700mA. The wattmeter said 126w that is fans running fast ect. I took 2 of my old lights apart and made this one. The lights weren't that old about 6-7 months. One was a spare along with my Hans panel that is temporarily over a Lemon Kush until tomorrow when the lights come on. This will replace 2 @1400mA, it will be much more efficient now .
Where did you get that 700mA driver that's sweet?

Thanks a bunch, do you like it so far? I like your set up, do you mind if I use your idea? Gonna make one here soon just been driving myself crazy in what drivers to get but I think I've finally found it, that one seems legit and super simple to set up.

...Sure one can make millions out of a single idea ...
Same way, many can spend millions and still have no idea ...
But then again I've no idea about which idea ,we're talking about ...
Yesterday's that would be ?
Or today's ,or tomorow's idea ?
Which one of the million ideas is the one ?
That can make millions ?

I've no idea ...

Cheers.

Hello guys

i ordered and checked some 1500mA drivers from ebay\aliexpress

i found those to be the best -

the results of 3 of them, with CXA3070 are:

1467 mA
37.9 vF

1477 mA
37.61

1466 mA
37.5
they are light weight, compact, and more solid then others ebay drivers i checked.

and if you order 5 of them, the price is just 8.47 $ shipped.
