I second that,..

In Fact i'm moving over to silicone stranded wire for the cob hookup, cost isn't bad as long as I shop around a bit.

i use the shit that has a 300 volt / temp rating jacket 18 G stranded
the ideal UT assy Vid calls out stranded non-tinned wire & not to be twisted as well
iirc they talk rating of wire as well

Sprinkler wire is hard to come by here, or it's called something else all together. Regardless, I couldn't find any.

So I've chosen 7 core trailer wire. Heaps of the shit available.

This gives me 6 colors + a black. Buying a spool of similar black wire I am able to pair up a ground wire for each colored giving me a total of 6 ciruits. 4 of the colors will be used to power 4 CPU Cooler fans and a fifth color will power a 12VDC circulation fan.

Power to the COBS will be via the Silicone hook wire I first posted:

I've found the same problem, and as such haven't found my best solution yet.
I did get a quote from blackburn wires in Sydney for 100M Rolls of 18AWG rated for 300V for I think $135AUD for 1 of black and 1 of red delivered to Melbourne.

I even went to Middy's and the guy at the counter looked at me like a space cadet when I asked for 18AWG, never heard of the American Wire Gauge obviously. Basically they had nothing according to him.

I'd love it if cutter would source rolls for us that way it would make it more of a one shop stop, and they'd be getting my business without a second thought.'

Yep, we have 18AWG Copper core wire, what lengths do you want to buy in?

as long as the wire jacket is rated for 300 volts this has to due with if ever the wire gets hots the jacket (covering) will withstand a high temp before MELTING & shorting then a fire
somebody here uses sprinkler wire that's low volt 12v & the jacket turns to crayon wax really fast

Soo unless u wanna burn then invest in rated wire

Found out the problems with the Arctic 11 Plus cooler fan...It was the Power Supply unit causing the issues, the wires were not colored correctly.

Lesson learnt to check wires and NOT presume the wires are correctly labelled :)

on another note:

Could one use the drivers on a flip timer panel.. so one could have flip rooms like are done with HID

and only have to buy half as many drivers?
