I've yet to find and plans about a diy light mover so i thought i would start this post. One of my many hobbies happens to be Electrical engineering and i thought I would share my take on a DIY light mover. I have yet to get the money to put this together but provided you have a soldering iron this should cost no more than $20-$30 the driver costing maybe $10

I drew a schematic for the driver trying to keep in mind simple and parts most people can find at stores like radio shack supply power is really only limited by the relays and dc motor used as well as the limiter switches which can be found at radioshack - switches

rough sketch of frame(im an engineer not an artist)

wood or metal can be used for frame as well as bracket that will attach to everything and be the hanger for the light
might have to play with voltage and maybe gears to slow motion of light
Bearing coaster wheels - wheels
threaded rod - rod
bearing to hold rod - Bearings
and various odds and ends to piece it together

in theory since this uses limiter switches it could be as long as you wish to make it
hopefully i will have the money soon anyone else wanna try?

also please let me know if this is in the right section
