I'll post pics of the build and whatnot so you can see how easy it is to build one yourself and save a couple hundred buck

Was looking at the 6ton bottle jack style from dab press.

I like the 10 idea, so I’m going to watch to see what you come up with here to squeeze with.

I fully understand I can not walk into Canadian Tire and buy a Rosin Press, I go to Canadian Tire all the time, but all together what is the final price looking like.. I have been curious to make my own as well, I want to convert my outdoor into rosin.

Better to make bubble first then press that. Flower rosin (especially outdoor) can have a bad taste.
Well the press is on sale for 299 I had 200 CT money and the plates are around 400 so it cost me just over 5hundred.

Thought we were headed to the machine shop. Darn

Ok , what plates have your ordered, as I best get this press before sale ends ?

Kind of like the idea @CochiseChronic had at 150. Aluminum is a bit expensive these days.

I'm still trying to decide on plates. I can order 600w plates and get them tmrw or I can order 1200w plates but wait for a month shipping. Also duno about returns with those ones. Trying to find out what the best wattage would be for 4x7 plates

Sounds like usps via canada post.:)

Are you going to cage or not, to do bottle squishes?

a 10t press will be a little under powered to take full advantage of a 4x7 plate. You would nearly double your maximum psi with a 3x5 plate. Also, keep in mind that it is not good to use your press at full capacity, so you will actually be using about 8tons max pressure.
