so im in the process of building a vaporizer of comparable or better technical quality. im not really expecting anyone to show any interest, but maybe itll help someone. im not paying over $500. my vaporizer is gonna look waymore scientific when i get done to
ive given up on trying to find a fan capable of low enough flow. ive decided that using compressed air and regulating the flowrate will be much simpler.

my vaporizer will consist of the following
1 a tank of compressed air. i will fill it as needed with a silent compressor
2 a flow regulator of some sorts, wethere it be a needle valve or something more complex
3 a solenoid valve connected to a timer for automatic filling, maybe a way to connect it to my samsung galaxy so can fill it 5 minutes before i get home.
4 an inline bowl/heat element/quick bag disconnect assembly
5 a quick disconnect turkey bag assembly

heres an early drawing, its far from complete, im not sure of all the parts im going to use yet.

i got most of the ideas for this learning about high pressure aeroponic and air atomizing aeroponic systems in the aerogardeners forum. i encourage you to read my thread its still in prototype mode.

there are alot of fans that push that little of air, an aquarium type air pump would work or even a very small fan the kind you might find in a dvd player or even your hid ballast. many better ways than compressed air

ive got to disagree with you. with compressed air ill be able to produce very accurate air flow and pressure. i would like to pump the vapor into a glass column with a piston inside it, and get away from the lame bag

anyways im probably wasting my time here, ill report back when i finish my first prototype. the first ones gonna be kind of ugly, but im going to make it so that it can fill multiple bags at a time

well refilling would be a pain, a small fan or air pump provides consistent air that wont run out. but whatever. the hard part would be an accurate heating element, but good luck bro a homemade vape is pretty easy to make i outgrew diy pieces but they are fun and effective

this seems like more of the adult version of DIY pieces to me lol. my diy pieces consisted of 2 liter bottles and tinfoil.

i wasnt meaning it in a negative way.. so how do you plan on heating it though? i cant think of anything cheap yet accurate

i lik what you got goin here actually, thinking outside the box. now 1 up your idea and add a battery docking port that is compatiable with the types of lithium ion batterys used for cordless powertools s a person could plug one of those in and take it with him backpacking or camping/hiking. i would buy one from you if that were an option. i like the thought of a full size portable vape with some power to take with on trips.

i havent figured that out yet, ive been thinking of using some sort of light bulb hooked up to a dimmer and watt meter. what ever i do ill have the heat source in a mixing chamber so that its consistant before it hits the herb.

i actually have compressed air sources in my house like other people have 120 outlets. this design is actually much simpler then my last one. i was going to be using a vaccuum(not a dirt devil, but an absense of air) in a glass vapor collection chamber, and i would open up a solenoid to pull heat thru the herb. i decided this would be easier as im surrounded in compressed air in my house, plus i thought i might have trouble keeping the air moving slow enough

all youll have to do is get a UPS power supply, ive used one to transport clones in a DIY slEZy cloner, to a town 60 miles away

but my slEZy cloner doesnt got shit, i also built a cloner using high pressure mist. it has a 12volt dc timer and solenoids and a hydrostatic test hand pump, it mists for 3 seconds every 2 minutes. i could drive this cross country, i just need to pump it every 6 hours with my 4 gallon tank(pictured) or every 30 hours with my 20gallon tank(not pictured)

There are ceramic heating elements out there, just need to research them on Google. They are used a lot in the industrial environment. There are also variable speed low volume fans out there that can be controlled via the PCB. I design design PCB's (printed circuit boards) and also I am an engineer.
I see a few issues with your design, however it is a good start.
Do you know anything about how to write C++ code? If so, you can write the code so that all of the variables are controlled through a touch screen operations pad.
I am working on some of my own designs for EC's (Environmental Controls) right now. The R&D aspects are all done and am working through the debugging stage now.

I am willing to help with any ?'s you have with regards to R&D.
