DNA Genetics - "RockLock" Feminized

So, I bought a Breeder Pack of 6 seeds of DNA Genetics "RockLock" from Worldwide Marijuana Seeds... I tried to germinate them Monday.... Only 3 out of the 6 germinated. Im a little bit annoyed considering the $$ I spent on them, but I just wanted to give everyone the heads up on them.... :roll:

i grew one rocklock plant once...it was a free fem seed...the plant freaking sucked...i got junk buds and no weight compared to the other plants in the same grow..fuck that strain

i also grew rocklock as a freebie last summer. mine was actually real nice. it's like it was born to be lst'd. i ended up with about 12 completely uniform tops. the buds were on the thin side but the buzz was a 6.8 out of 10, keeping in mind that i am a total weed snob. most people would probably give it an 8.

Come on dude, you can't judge and entire strain based off of limited experience with one seed. You probably were just unlucky. Unless you grow out a couple packs of a strain you really don't have an understanding of what a strain can produce.

i dont grow a couple of packs of seeds for each strain...at the most, i grow two of the same kind...i like variety and always mixing it up...the really good ones i come across we clone and some friends of mine grow them out over a few times

i just planted 3 seeds from the paradise champion pack...one sensi star, one white berry, and one ice cream...all look ok now, but the ice cream plant mutated right from its first days of growing...its starting to grow out of it now, you can check out the journal in my sig if u want...but ill never grow ice cream again because of it

if the genetics of the strain are able to produce 1 crappy outcome, like a plant with no decent final weight on it in the case of the rocklock or a mutated growth spurt like in the case of the ice cream, then why waste your time with it? good genetics dont do that shit

even the guy who said he thought he did a good job with the rocklock only gave it a 68...thats a D+

Because of the particular pheno that was found. If you don't pop enough seeds you'll never know what you're missing in a particular genetic line. Not all seeds are created equally even in a given genetic line. I popped 60 LA Confidential seeds to find my keeper mom and it was worth it.

Some breeders you have to run a good number of beaners to find the right pheno....Mr. Nice Seeds being one of the many that comes to mind off bat. Just got done running 250 seeds of Black Widow to find what I was looking for....I have grown many different strains from dna as well as their sister company reserva privada...very legit and sure fire!!! Im thinking your shady vendor prob snag the good beans and gave you bunk. Dna is a very legit seed company!

i never said DNA wasnt a legit seed company and i got it as a freebie from attitude....i would love to be able to go through 60-250 seeds to find the right one...im sure most of us would...but alot of us are small closet growers that grow 2-4 plants at a time....we dont have the space to plant 60-250 seeds at once nor the time and patience to do it 4 or 6 seeds at a time...we buy top notch, reputable strains from reputable dealers...we take the best out of 2 (sometimes 4 if my buddy is growing the same too) and clone off the best we get...how boring would it be to just keep planting one strain for like 3 years in hopes of finding a better mom...for the small growers it makes more sense to go with something you know is top of the line instead of hunting one strain for the best pheno

btw..dimbag darrell fucking rules even from the grave

If you were directing this at me and not the OP, all of the pheno's were good but the 1 I kept is fucking amazing and completely stood out in every way but the most of the others were great but there were 2 or three that didn't compare to the rest.

Word! I live with that feeling everyday of my life. Hes with me on the inside, but I miss him with every breath...he was my best friend, my cousin, my big brother at one point, and a person I would give my life to bring back, without a single thought. Im still fucked from it, rage runs real deep, but the cannabis keeps me grounded and serves to remind me, I will see him one day again, even if I have to move mountains from shore to shore.

So in the end, only the 3 popped, I planted them and they have all sprouted.... I will do a grow journal and see what I can do with some Advanced and some Co2..... hehe
