DNAs OG Kush verses OG 18

IMG_4610.jpgOK boys and girls, lets put it to rest. Which strain is better, or better for you? I have access to clone-only cuts being in Norcal, but most of the OGs that I've gotten lately have been lackluster, worn out, tired old cuts that just ain't cuttin' it. I hate fem seeds, and don't usually use em' but when I decided to go fresh OG hunting, I found that the only seeds worth buying of an OG were fem, so I have to find one without hermie tendancies along with my other requirements for the keeper pheno. I'm just looking for a keeper to clone and grow, not breed or anything else, so a fem will work. I'm gonna go ahead and crack these babies right away (today!) and get goin on em'. I'll have pics of the germ set-up later today.

yea that's what I've been hearing. I'm looking for both, but being fem seeds, first off I gotta find a solid one that doesn't hermie, then taste and then yield. That's how I'm gonna judge em' for a keeper.
 
I didn't find any that hermied on me and in the #18 packs you will find many pheno's that will look like the pheno's you will find in the regular OG packs with the odd one looking like the plant in the description. That being said the phenos that look like the regular OG aren't quite as good as the plants you will get out of the regular OG fem seeds. As for the tase, the regular OG pheno's taste way better.

i wouldnt say the 18 has "way" better yields than any OG cut you will find in cali. You can get top dollar at dispensaries for the 18 if you know what you're doing. That lemony fuel funkyness is undeniable. I found a keeper out of ten seeds, but unfortunatley had to scrap her for yield reasons. Definatley a head stash plant. Top the shit out of her!!!!! Or scrog, whatever you do, she deff needs some training. but since you grow OG's i'm sure you know all this already. GOod luck!
 
well, I'm only looking for a headstash OG anyway. I would never even try to use an OG as a cash crop, if that's what I did. But, I do want it to yield decent, I hate stuff that you baby for 3 months and get a half oz off it. hahahaha
 
You can get a respectable yield and some big colas from the #18.
Here are results of both ....six plants under a 400w in coco, topped once for 4 colas, 28 day veg.
5 grows of reg and 8 grows of #18 over 9 months.

Reg OG:
6 plants average 1.66 oz each
0.7 grams per watt
1.11 oz per week (finished @9 weeks)

OG18:
6 plants averaged 2.5 oz each
1.05 grams per watt
1.36 oz per week (finished @11 weeks)

I do like the taste of the reg a little more but they are both great. The #18 is a little more potent IMO.

I've got a really nice mother plant of og from the owner of a club in frisco (the Love Shack). He had orginally gave a friend of mine a clone and i found a few seeds (like 6 or 7) in a few pounds of bud that i grew from those clones, and i grew them out to find one female out of all of them. I have taken clones from that female and have mothers indoors. Its a very nice head high or headstash as you said. When you smoke it in joints the end of the joint is drippin with resin. Definetly my favorite day time smoke of all the weed i'vve grown the last few years.

Nice bro! good job on them. I have to wonder though, if the seeds you found were male and female, it had to have gotten hit by a male, not selfed, so mit should be a cross of OG right?
 
Ya but we had no males in the yard. Could be someone on the block though. The seed that was a female that i grew out was exactly like the clone i had orriginally gotten the year before. Smoked the same loooked the same an everything.


And ya the seeds were male and female. had like 6 males and one female. when the one female was like two weeks old i stepped on it on accident and it snapped but i ended up fixing it.


interested to see how your testing comes out cus i'm a huge og fan.
