Hey everyone i was just do i need to change from 6500k lights to 2700k light for auto flowering stage. I currently have 2 45w 5500k + 4 23w 6500k lights. I just wasn't sure if i have to change the spectrum as autos grow on at the same light hours the whole time or should i mix it up by replacing every second light with a 2700k lights?>

Yes. Plants use both spectrum throughout their life but need blue peaking at around 430nm light for vegging and red peaking at around 660nm for flowering. I like to use a mix for the first half of flowering to limit stretching but go full red for the end. Not switching will leave you with sparse airy bud growth. /with the sun it doesn't matter because its giving a true full "daylight" spectrum. Daylight bulbs poop out around 600 nm.

thanks bostoner, that must have been what went wrong last time. I used 4 23w 6500k for veg then only replaced 2 of them with 2 23w 2700k lights. The buds grew fatter then a lighter but when they dried they ended up thinner then pencils. Ill change a couple to 2700k after a couple of weeks of flower then change all of them to 2700k till the end.

yea, I would go with both 6500 and 2700k if I was doing autos and start one like every two or three weeks
