Do Green Grow Store Flashlights Interrupt the Dark Cycle?

I haven't researched this in a bit, but it seems more and more evident that if you provide only a green spectrum that it will not interrupt the dark cycle (induce production of florigen). I have more confidence since seeing a lot of green LED flashlights in grow shops. In fact, the main reason I'm trying to solidify my theory is that I have an app on the market that emits a solid green (in RGB, 0,255,0) screen. I've tried other ones, but they have white promotional text/ads on them and other colors... not solid green.

I also found some stuff on the internet, but nothing as credible as I hoped to have found. Would love to know if I'm suggesting something bad by offering an app that 'allows you to see at a low green light that won't interrupt the dark cycle'. Ya know... would suck to find out after a ton of downloads.

Thanks for that. Interesting. Maybe the little bit of white in the other app is okay. I'd still rather be 100% green. I guess that's my final answer is to whether a solid green in one of the modes below is disruptive in a phone's LCD...

I'm still, especially with your answer, leaning towards it being okay. But I don't know if a phone emits extra white, etc. when the brightness is turned up [for example].

I suppose somebody should tell all the cob guys that plants cant see green light...as far as it interruping the light cycle,im not sure.But I can tell you one thing...green light does have an effect on plants.So they know its there.

I have two. Use them daily. Trust me - they do not interrupt and cause hermies or anything else. Use AAA batteries. 4 at a time and they last quite a while.

Yes ive seen them, but can i just light the whole tent with green rope lights without the head band rig?

Read the study. Plants still absorb small amounts of green light without other wave lengths being present. They absorb even more in white light. . Dont just assume by reading a single sentence.

Disregard that post it doesn't apply to you. The headlight allows you to aim where you are looking. Like under the canopy or SCROG.

I'm not. The rope he is talking about would be harmless. I use my green lights regularly.I do not work on plants under HID.It is extremely harmful to the vision. Just saying.

In fact that rope probably has about as many LEDs as my light. Go for it.

I like simple terms bro. I didnt study at Oxford and there journals a little advanced for me to understand. Thank you for interpreting.
