Do I cut the brach or remove bud when top harvesting ?

Hey, I had a plant that got long a thin due to poor positioning in the tent. The tops are Done but not the buds on lower branches, they need more time.
if I top Harvest:
Do I pluck the top buds off and leave the bare branch or do I cut the branch off where the bud is?
any suggestions?

You want to cut the branches off, then the lower buds will become dominate and develop faster.

Ok. So no flushing until I’m harvesting the lower section that I let grow longer..
you think it will affect the taste?

It wont affect the taste, I never flush
