Do I have mold?

I'm 16 days into flower and I think buds/trichomes are coming in but I want to make sure its not just mold/powdery mildew (will post pics). There's no sign of mold/PM anywhere on the fan leaves. My humidity gets up to 77 sometimes. My questions are:


1. What does mold look like on buds?


2. Im putting a stronger exhaust fan in (440cfm connected to carbon filter) but can the humidity/moisture exit through the carbon filter or does it trap it in?


3. Do the $30 dehumidifiers work or are they a waste of money?

1. mold looks like mold. your best bet is to go look at some pictures of moldy plants
2. yes the moister will exit your filter and yes a stronger exhaust fan will help with mold.
3. no, sounds like a waste of money. there is no way in hell a 30$ dehumidifier is going to compete with a 435cfm extractor fan.

i got a dehumidifier at Goodwill for $30... it was an LG model that sells at Lowe's for just under $300. and it's been working perfectly for almost a year now.

your humidity will drop the more you circulate your air in your growroom. when you post pics you'll get a definite answer to the mold issue

Yeah I know I looked it up on google before I posted but this is my first grow so ive never seen new forming buds so im just checking. From what I read trichomes look similiar to powdery mildew so im trying to get someone elses perspective.

Cool, well get those pic's up you speak of and we will see if we can help you out then.

I saw Jorge Cervantes wash his bud in a bin of water to remove mold.

Search for it on youtube.

But make sure you get other opinions first to confirm it's mold by posting a pic here.

After you have seen mold for the first time...you will NEVER forget what it looks like and the pain that goes along with it.

This is all to painfully true, its a lesson that only needs to ever be learned once.

No pictures... No answers to your question lmao. U expect us to know if ur plantsmolding or not when we are looking at words lol.... Post pics for a real answer
