so i had a gl60 tent and sold it realizing it was too small. so i upgraded to a gl80. really really wanted to use a super sun 2 as a reflector. keep in mind my tent is 2.7x2.7.5.11. thats 31"x31"71". anyway i went to the hydro store and asked for the supersun 2 dimensions. it was 21" in in length so i bought it thinking it would fit. boy was i wrong. it actually meaures out to something like 27" when you include both ducts. this mean it would be impossible to add ducting to both sides(or either side).
so now im back at square one. my goals are:
grow 4 healthy plants
keep heat to a minuimum and be able to grow all year long(including summer). indoor temps reach 80% with AC in room on.
i was looking at some air cooled reflectors but couldnt find any that would fit in the tent with ducting. most were too long. until i spotted the cooltube 19" on the htgsupply website. i also saw something called easy cool 6". the cool tube is just a regular cooltube which is 19" but the easy cool 6 is actually 18" in length. with the duct holes its might be another 6 inches which would allow me to add ducting to both sides.
what do you guys think? or do you have any other recommendation? i was originally planning on a 250w grow however if i end up using the cooltube ill probably upgrade to a 400w since ive been reading(jorge cervantes) it is one of the least efficient reflectors out there.
thanks
