do I need a relay switch for this timer ?

hi all, just was reading about how sometimes the power from HID lights can fuck up timers and how you can hook a relay up to the timer to stop the problem. I was just wondering if it applies for all timers,here is mine does it, should it be hooked up to a relay and if so, could someone please point me in the right direction to getting a good one. thanks again.

you should be fine with just the timer . I use one that looks almost exactly the same and I run 600W . I'm on my third grow using the timers . No problems.

There shouldn't be any ill effects until 1500w most of the time.
