Okay so basically couple days back i germinated both seeds and planted them and i had to use a balcony which unfortunately doesnt have direct sunlight. we used to have plants on this balcony that were alive so i figured it could work, or does it need direct sunlight ? we have another balcony but that's in my parents room so that would be a big no :-( also i read something about using mirrors ? is that a thing that could help ?

Yes you need direct sunlight. At least part of the day. Marijuana is a sun loving plant. Flowering would be weak.

why dont start some autos indoors with some ghetto cfl setup and when they start flowering throw them outside, flowering is flowering, might turn up good

not sure what you mean by "uninterrupted light" ......I assuming you mean "direct sunshine"

I get no more than 6 hours per day of direct sunshine which is enough for half decent plants

Not gonna say it won’t work with the amount of light you are giving, just not gonna produce as much compared to giving it more.

Agreed.... outdoors you dont need 12 hours of light to get amazing buds (that is an indoor number). I dont know many outdoor growers that do...unless they are in a massive field.
Nice plants!

Okay so basically now i have this after the first 24 hrs and i ended up using my parents balcony for the time being it's safe but when i get to the flowering stage i have no idea what happens then lmao... anws thank you guys all for ur help. i just wanna add that this is my first grow ever and my knowledge so far is based of lots of reading and youtube vids.. so um what i couldnt figure out yet is 7-9 weeks from now how do i get it to go into flowering stage or is it done naturally at it's own pace ? i know with indoor you adjust the lighting hrs and that's it.. and right now it's getting tons of sun haven't watered it yet tho the soil was kind of moist so i figured that's good enough.. and sorry for my long reply i just want as much help/pointers if im doing anything wrong.. thank you!!

yeah....you would really need a huge open area to obtain 12 hours of direct sunshine, but I'm sure the more hours you get the bigger/better the plants would be.

funny thing is that I was thinking of putting a plant on my balcony which faces north and gets almost zero direct sunshine, just to see what would happen.....but I can't now as 4 plants is our legal max here in Canada
