Do I need to change medium for second grow?

For soil medium I have:
Peat moss 2.5 cups
potting mix 5 cups
Pine mulch 5 cups
Perlite 5 cups
Pea gravel 4 cups
Limestone 1.5 tbs in each container

I used this medium with hopes that I could get several grows out of each pot before replacing the medium. Do those of you using soil find it better to replace each time? I guess what would go wrong with a older soil would be less draining ability and less air to the roots. How long before this becomes a problem?

Thanks,

Kevin

Always use fresh soil to avoid problems down the road!
Unless you are a hydro guy and use clay pellets...heard you can wash them and reuse.

have to agree. dead root material can rot if you dont use enzymes to break it down which could then pass on problems to new plants.
clay pebbles do not absorb water therefore only need sterilising before reuse.
