SO, i bought most of my expensive grow gear off amazon,,, should have known it wasnt worth it..

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005EFO7IC/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00

I believe its the ballast that is failing on me now... i have had the light running 12/12 for about 3-4 months now..

was perfect, flawless, till just yesterday, i walk into my room when its supposed to be daytime, .. nope, i find my ladies still sleeping..

I am not ready to purchase a quality ballast, im mad :[

i think i can afford $100 ... im looking for anohter 600 ballasts, or potentially an adjustable 1000 watter..

its been about 2 days of no light id say.. i need to get things back on schedule...

i think this i will take this as a lesson..

I dont think i would buy a brand new dirt cheap unknown foreign manufactured fridge, washer dryer/ or even more comparable, a baby monitor and expect it to give me worry freee use..

I believe you can score some really amazing deals online, but for more precious valuable items, such as my light, and lets say a fan and what not (mechanical like things).. I think i should be going to my regular local hydro shop for the important things..

I know the guys at the store back up there products, and replace if necessary, and in many cases, same day replacement is crucial..

I would much rather pay 2-3 times as much for my equipment, and have a better feeling that it has a good chance of lasting/ not catching on fire, exploding, and what not like a poorly made product..

since i am in an emergency situation, i picked up a HYDROFARM Phantom 600W HPS/MH Dim E-Ballast from craigslist for $85...

I will use this till it dies, and in the mean time, i will be saving up for a new ballast and bulb.. ( as back ups) and also, i will most likely get another inline fan..

this is my only crop, and this time around, things are looking sooo much better. this poorly built product nonsense has got to gooo

i agree.. i never recommend buying any sort of electrical device from places like ebay and such.. i know it's often much less money up front, but as you've found out, if something goes wrong with it, as it always seems to, then you're pretty much screwed..
sure, some times an ebay seller will take care of you, but many times they are some fly by night co. and never seem to be around once problems arrive imo..
ime, it's often better just to pay a bit more up front, or sometimes a lot, to get a quality product from a reputable dealer so you will get your monies worth out of it, and if something ever does go wrong, you shouldn't have any issues returning it.. :D
