Do people who smoke weed have dreams?

Not wanting to be a musician or some shit. Like going to sleep and actually dreaming cuz someone told me if you smoke weed you don't dream but if you stop smoking you dream again. I ask cuz I can't really recall any dreams iv had and was wondering if weed has something to do with it? Not that I care but I'm just wondering.

Everyone has dreams every single night, high or sober. It's just about remembering them. Not sure but I think it depends on the level of sleep you're getting. My guess is, the deeper the sleep, the harder to remember, but the more refreshed you are when you wake up.

weed or no weed, i only remember dreams from a light sleep like a nap, and i don't nap much. melatonin supposedly gives a lot of people very strange vivid dreams but i can't remember any of them so as far as i'm concerned they didn't exist. no flying dreams, no sex dreams, no "i went to work naked" dreams, and i've never once been aware that i was dreaming or had any control of the dream. if i do remember one, it's usually forgotten within 5 minutes.

to be fair, for the past decade or so i've been smoking pretty much daily. i don't think the occasional week or two tolerance break is a big enough sample for me to say whether the weed makes a difference or not but i'm guessing it does.

I have a recurring dream where I'm getting down and dirty with this beautiful woman and I'm caressing her juicy ass, then her butt cheeks split into 2 loaves of bread, and then I wake up and make a sandwich.

Man whoever told you that is a person you should never take any advice from, I tell you what, do the opposite of everything that person tells you to do, and you'll be majorly successful, cause that person is an idiot.

I never remember my dreams when I go to sleep high. There are never any exceptions.

I"m not a big fan of dreaming because you never know what youre gonna get so it doesn't bother me. I prefer it..

I've had several dreams lately in which I am trimming, lol. I wouldn't mind forgetting those ...

I've heard this before too, but I frequently have pretty vivid, even sometimes lucid dreams.

I think a lot of it depends on how long you've smoked and how your brain has adapted.

Everybody has dreams. There is no exception, if your are sleeping in them REM state, you WILL have dreams. If you'd never get to the REM stage, you'd die. Seriously.
People just don't remember them. For me, weed doesn't really effect how I remember dreams.

Actually, there are some medications (e.g., neuroleptics, antipsychotics) that will actually knock out REM sleep. I can only think that this side effect exacerbates an already compromised mental state.
