Do proxy's work??? I need some advice!!!!

I've just learned about using proxies.....I've heard people here talking about using proxies while visiting RIU...since I used my email address to open my RIU account it seems that using a proxy would be pointless, as my RIU account is linked to my email address with is linked to me...Proxy or not it's linked to me...IDEA: use a proxy to get new e-mail adress....then start a new RIU account....Will this be effective??? Is it necessary????

but it would be hella effective
well the law wouldnt be able to get our email unless we allowed the option to reveal our email
also police mostly track people using IP addresses and thats what proxys cover up
so if you used a proxy and got a new email then a new riu account youd be completely safe as far as i know
