seems that the top and sides are dry but i can tell that the very center(roots) is still wet.
Ahh the "two knuckle rule" so thats what they call it these days..Yeah...I would go with the two knuckle rule followed by lifting it and seeing if it has a "lightness" to it.
I always refered to it as poking your finger into the soil to see if it is wet. A rule.....no once your soil is full of roots you can no longer poke unles you stretched the shit out f you plan and burried a rootles stemAhh the "two knuckle rule" so thats what they call it these days..
AHAHAHA, you know what I mean...no need to be particular....of course later in the plants life you will only have the weight to rely on, but at first, you can use a finger, yes.
