do the nodes naturally stretch a little bit on big plants?

i am about to switch my plants over to flower and i had a question or two....

i had a BAD stretch which was either a fight for light or lack of nitrogen or....something, i had about 6-7 inches of growth with only 2 nodes on all of the plants (overall 43-45inches average plant height.

now, at the very top of the plant the node shoots or whatever (the very top of the plant) are like 1/8th of an inch apart, but as they grow it seems it stretches my tight nodes to a half inch to close to a full inch. Is that the norm?

Are nodes under an inch capable of producing these damn super tight buds i see everyones avatar as?:-P:-P

Yeah I think so but little buds form there. I'm talking the middle of the plant. But in flower the nodes get really tight around the upper bud sights. Depending on strains I guess. The smaller a plant is the tighter the nodes of course.

Certain strains will stretch more than others during flower, but all strains exhibit stretching.

does plant size have a direct relation with individual flower size, or just provide more bud sites and if the nodes are close enough allowing them to grow together to form bigger "single" buds?

This again is dependent on strain overall health, container size, nutrient uptake, PH, and all environmental factors. In general, yes, larger plants will grow larger flowers but this greatly depends on how much light the flowers receive.

hes asking if you see like two nodes starting too bud really close to each other will they connect and form a big cola of bud lol i think it's just random, sometimes they do sometimes they don't

A main cola is usually just a bunch of buds that form around the main stalk and grow into each other. If your plant is stretched to an extreme you may not get a full cola but in most cases, with enough light, the main cola will be where you get the majority of your weight and best smoke.

i mean like- if i have a 4 ft veg'd plant are the individual flowers at every node going to be larger than a plant veg'd to one foot?
