Hint - tris, I think because they start out clear, ted to look the same color as the background. I found I could get the most accurate look at tri coloration by putting a sugar leaf on a black background.

Well, first off bro, you kinda need a stronger Microscope.. From the picture you showed, it is impossible to tell if its done... Not sure how someone guess "half and half"??? Anyways, get a 100-120X microscope from Amazon ($15). Because that picture is not close enough to see the transparency or cloudiness of the trichomes..
The picture below is a good example of how it should look through your microscope. If it doesn't have a good enough magnification to see at least to this extent, then get a new one... Good luck man!
