Do these look done, help with some questions please

Hello, have a couple of questions if you can please help. So I have been flushing for 6 days, 2 waterings, here are pics, what do you think in terms of being done? I want to harvest with the next 10 days. I have been cutting the lights a bit and have them at 11.5on/12.5off, trying to get them to mature a little faster and might move to 11/13 in a few days. Other than what you think about what they look like, my questions are, do the hairs receed and calyxs swell during the dark period before harvest and can you clearify or recommend how I should do the dark period such as24/48/72 hrs? One more question, can anyone recommend a shocking method to entise the plants to create optimal THC or gain super potency somehow. THanCs!

Looks like they need another week or 2. And i do 48 hours dark while i drown in molasses, vanilla, and powdered sugar.
Drowning in the last week is a good way to stress the plants to produce more THC and it also starts the conversion of starches to sugars before you harvest. Leaving you with sweeter, smoother bud. I have noticed if you drown for a week the plant is prone to mold at the base of the main stalk. So i combined my drown and dark cycle to cut down the possibility of mold.

You CAN dark cycle for up to 2 weeks (some strains continue producing resins while others stop after a certain time) but 48 hours is the minimum.
Just block off an area with black tarp and put a fan blowing in.

Drowning is when you submerge your plants substrate in a bucket of water(having a weight to keep it from floating) and whatever kind of flavoring you want.
anything you add to your drown water will be absorbed into the plant so think tasty :]
Cooking Extracts can be used for wild flavors like lemon, vanilla, almond, rum, ect... try different things and see what recipe you like best!

Good luck!

Hey man I would give those atleast like 2-3 weeks, they arent looking super sugary yet nor are they looking very bulked up. Last couple weeks really change how a plant looks, weighs, tastes, smokes, and what kind of high you get. Do you have a microscope or a jewelers loupe?

How are the trichomes looking? Clear, Milky Amber?

I have a Jewelers loupe. The trichs are about 60-80%milky white, and the rest are cloudy or clear, no noticable amber, I check once when I turn on the lights and once when I turn them off. I have to get these harvested and drying by the 10th of January at the latest. Any ideas how to rush it but still push for optimal THC, and weight being a second priority?

Your last sentence did it!
Let them finish, that's honestly the big secret all the pro growers use!
Good luck

You should start a thread about this in the Harvesting & Curing section. It will be a popular thread for sure.
