What's up peeps. Harvest time for the outdoor crew is fast approaching. We know it, the rippers know it and the LEOS know it. At times I get a quick shot of nervousness every time I hear a chopper or a plane thinking they're swooping down on me. I constantly think about shuffling my ladies around to new spots that might be better hidden from the sky only to think about how heavy those pots are.

So do you ever get nervous this time of year? If so what do you do about it?
 
Absolutely! August, September, and October means constant worry about losing my plants to rippers or pigs. Constantly looking out the window, even in the middle of sleeping, is just a part of growing outdoors.

I've been looking at these new wireless motion detectors that have a camera and DVR all in a little unit. They even alert your phone when activated, so you can watch in real time.

Only about $100. and does what a full-blown security system does. It might provide some worry-relief.

I'm usually cool in the beginning ....but once that 6ft mark gets hit...I start worrying like crazy...I always think wtf I went to big ....I will be in full on worry until chop now ....you just never know...luckily there's people who are way more greedy and doing much bigger things near me.....so I try to put my stress at ease thinking ...they'll go after those giant plots before they'd hit mine .....but it doesn't help much LOL....I only have a few of course ....sucks we have to worry about such an awesome plant in the first place ....just part of the greenhouse/outdoor game .....Good Luck to all you guys ....I wish nothing but good vibes and the best of luck to all my fellow growers.
 
Yeah I am far more concerned about thieves than anything else. Plan on doing a little camping around about October. There's far more meth sites that are of concern to law enforcement. So long as I stay away from those, everything should be cool.

Hey, as little as I use, a couple of plants is enough to supply me for a year. I might have just enough to last until next years harvest, if everything goes well.

About 3 weeks ago one of my patches got found by LEO. So yes, I am pretty nervous these days. I don't know if they chopped or put in cameras. I'll wait another month or two to find out.

I have only been to my other patches once since. Everything that is old enough is starting to flower. I really need to collect pollen and kill males, but may end up with a bunch of "who's your Daddy?" seeds.

Lol this reminds me of me so much lol. I mostly check the ladies late into the night and if I see car lights or hear car sounds my heart drops to my ass lol

Awesome, I've been looking for something. I found one from Amazon and it wasn't too bad but it was way too sensitive. I was literally getting alerts every minute on my phone.
How sensitive is this thing?


Just to add to the paranoia.....
I had a grow one year and it had a water line for feeding the plants, just your basic setup from a nice running creek.
Anyways.... I have no idea why, but a cop just parked where I normally walk out, I think he was just finding a spot to chill. Well he got out of his car and started messing with his stuff. (mind you I'm watching him this whole time) He walks into the woods a little to piss and he either seen me or my pipe which ran just a few feet from him.... it was a series of unfortunate events....
Long story short I slowly backed off and then as he picked up speed I bolted... Now its important to note that I had planned for just that day. I didn't have my vehicle anywhere close by and I had already laid out an escape route and memorized the google satellite of the area. I ran and I mean I fucking ran prob 5 miles, and thankfully made it to my car with out incident. I never heard anything from it. But I did see something in that towns local news paper about a small grow found in the woods. I got away barely but the year was a bust for me.
So, Nervous yes every year man ever day and night.

Had a detective come to my door last year. Said he had a report of bla bla bla. Wanted to look in my garage. Luckily my grow was in the back & lights were off that morning. But I shit a brick.

My state became legal in Dec. So I'm not sweating very much this year. Still worry about rippers. But its all in my yard/greenhouse/basement now. So I'm a lot less worried than I ever have been.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but glad you escaped the asshole.

We live in a fucked up world, where you, the productive grower was portrayed as a criminal and the badged parasitic thief was portrayed as the hero.

I came home from a patch a few years back with about a pound of bud freshly cut in my trunk, car stunk to high hell... round the bend yo find three cops in my lane with lights on walking around my yard etc. I shit a brick be cause I had a vent on the side of my house as well for my indoor grow and they were standing beside it. I turned into my neighbors lane and passed the cops , pulled into my yard and up into my garage preparing to get locked up...turns out some drunk ran there car through my yard and they had already hauled him off but were analyzing the seen. Never even talked to myself or wife despite all of them walking through our yard. Another time I came out from a patch after hauling in a dozen plants and found n officer behind my vehicle looking in it, bags of soil in the back seat and watering jugs(before I knew what I was doing) , he knew what was up but couldn't do anything as I had no plants on me so he charged me with trespassing and said he better never see me again.
