Do you guys grow in your bedroom?

I was just wondering how many people grow their weed in the bedroom they sleep in.
I mean, my plants are still small and they are kinda stinky, I can only imagine how its going to be when they start budding.
I have one of those ionic ball air purifiers, as well as a closet deodorizer thing from walmart.
My roommate knows and is cool with me growing, but I have to imagine he won't be happy if it starts to get really bad.
Also, is the smell going to start staying in my clothes and stuff?
Or any other problems you guys have ran into?

Too bad my room is a 12x10 and my little grow spot is just under 3ft cubed.
Yours must get real stinky when they get big

I've found that the only sure fire way that I could eliminate odour was by using a carbon filter.. I've tried a few cheaper solutions but they never got rid of the smell entirely.. is your setup inclosed? if it is, look into a better ventilation system.. its definitly worth it in the end, plus u wont run into any roommate issues.. this is one area that i think growers, especially new growers overlook.. a good intake/exhaust system not only keeps odours down but it also helps with the overall health of plants by continually supplying fresh air.. and isnt that the goal??

The smell will get into your clothes, maybe not real bad but they absorb lots of odours..

Even when i clone, i set up a little clone area in my bedroom and that seems to bring a distinct 'herb' smell to the room :peace:

i know about the vent. system...and I do have a nice carbon filter, 6 inch ducting , fans, the whole 9...but this is a temp. grow room...I will soon move into my new place where I will have two rooms for the op... one 12x12 for flower and one 12x10 for sea of green vegging...so I appreciate the help but I can handle the smell for the next 2 months..my new place will have everything hooked up professionally...and I'll be running 600 watt lights instead of 1000 watt lights...im going with 4 600 watt lights in the flower room and 2 400 watt mh in the veg room....

so my grow space is about 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide and 3 feet deep. I am growing 4 plants. What kind of system do you think I need to make the smell go away?
Its not bad now, only when I open up the doors, but i'd like to get something before they grow and start really smelling.

Although the smell isnt bad right now, it will be and as u said, u might as well be prepared for the inevitable.. as i mentioned above, the carbon filter really worked for me and is a proven odour solution.. here is a link to a great DIY solution that I used.. works beautifully.. if u arent interested in using this method as a solution, just stop reading now...

After all was said and done, i had to buy a bathroom exhaust fan (its 120cfm, ~$60).. and an extension cord, ~$8 (at Home Depot there is an extension cord that has only the plug.. the other end just has 3 wires (live/neutral/ground) instead of the 'female' end... that end can easily be wired to something like a bathroom fan (or any other electric device which is usually hard-wired)
I also grabbed an air-filter and some activated carbon from my local pet store (in the fish section)... ~$20 and an end cap.. 5$

So for under 100$ i have a cheap, easy, extremely durable filter that will last... and is also extremely effective (8 plants.. no smell) now i only need to replace the activated carbon every 6 months.. which is 5$ or somethin

In your situation, you could get by with a smaller exhaust fan which will lower the price of this setup greatly

I have a really small room and a small grow of 2 plants. Last grow the plants didnt really smell but this time (white widow) you can def notice them. I just make sure nobody comes to my room, i have an air freshner and a air purifier that i added some charcoal from the pet store that i have running but you can still notice. My plan is to let them finish the last 3 weeks of flowering and not bother too much about it. Next time ill look into less smelling plants again. (last time was masterkush and they seemed pretty neutral)
