Do you know what "they" are doing with cannabis genetics with the intent to patent it

I started this thread in the Toke and Talk forum because I know that many people like to come through here and discuss issues of all kinds. I thought of posting it in the Technology and Science forum but I noticed allot less traffic through that forum so in an attempt to bring awareness to this subject I am posting it here. There are allot of things that go on behind the scenes that the "average Joe" is unaware of. It is my hope that people will take the time to read the following article, it is a rather long read but it will bring a whole new perspective to how you view Cannabis, Breeders and the Big seed company's. If you would, read the article first then post your comments. I hope people become aware of how things are about to change in the near future!!

"THEY" are not doing anything to cannabis, not to patent it, and not to destroy it.

"terminator" seed technology does not exterminate a plant species. it prevents those plants with the gene from producing viable seeds.

it is "copy protection" for GM crops, due to many persons saving and replanting GM seeds in violation of the contract they sign when buying GM seeds.

"terminator" seeds dont destroy the other non-gm crops around them any more than copy protection on a Jethro Tull CD destroys your guitar and breaks your fingers "just to be sure" that you dont try and form a cover band.

further, the "patenting food" claim is specious and retarded.

specific GM crop genetic alterations can be patented, but this does not give the patent holder rights over the entire species.

It is highly likely that they induce the need for their specific seeds.

anyone tobacco farmers from the south east remember blue mold before the early 90's, then 10 years of it nearly riddling any crop not treated with the "special" chemical, then they bought out the tobacco lbs and boom there is no blue mold anymore....... pretty suspicious.......

its getting pretty scary these days when the general population has forgotten what governments do, they all think governments are this benevolent system that's goal is to help and care for them....... the past is laughing at us.

That is an amazing reference and one wish I had when I wrote my last term paper! That one is in my 'favorites'. I personally feel that Monsanto is single handedly changing our planet; we are one with the planet so is changing us. And this Goliath must be stopped. There is a group called millionsagainstmonsanto but it would take a war. I think Monsanto has our government in their pocket. Monsanto almost has the world in their pocket. I Monsanto rep told me that these terminator genes are not used...yet. That was 2 years ago.

They are already doing it to Corn and other seed crops...ETC......there are Seed patents already out there and these seeds like corn are genetically designed so that the patent holders can have us by the balls .....the same thing will happen with cannabis....there are Billions and Billions of dollars to be made by the GOV and the lobbyist and the pharma companies..... If it were not so they would not be spending millions upon millions on thier research.....its coming.....start pollen chucking if you plan on growing in the future.....

see their plant's pollen blows on farmer's fields that don't use Monsanto seed. Then Monsanto sue the small farmer for patent infringement. then the small farmer cannot fight this big bad ass company. so they want to control all the land. and truth be known...where are our bees going. without the bees we will have 4 years to live. and their chemicals are killing the bees. ironic isn't it? and please don't ask me for a link that pesticides are killing our bees or peer review studies. lol. oh ya, even more ironic, they do all this to say they are ending world hunger...kids everywhere are starving and they have billions enough to feed the world in just money.

join millionsagainstmonsanto! I find most people around me just don't care. So I have no one to talk to about it. Everyone gets annoyed by my talking about it because they care so little. In say 50 years, another generation will look back at ours and say, "what the fuck were they thinking? why did everyone go along? how stupid could they have all been to let this happen". Anyone who is the dark about Monsanto should go to Netflix and look at the food documentaries. they are probably on youtube too. Learning what I have learned in the last 3 years has change my whole life, my perspective and my priorities. We better look to the bees. The bees are the canary in the coal mine.

its not hard though once you learn they are in everything. I just cook with genuine ingredients and eat fresh and frozen. That's the ticket. no more prepared anything. they make food ingredients that aren't even food. these ingredients trick our bodies which when thinking on a cellular level, makes all sorts of crazy things happen chemically. Our bodies don't want chemical food. real food! i'm ready to smoke. Monsanto gets me so worked up. I love it!
