i know but do they get any if you dont give them??? is there any nutrients in water?? do you have to give them things like nitrogen and stuff manually?? like in soil you can just water and away u go, if u really want to
All plants will pull what they can from there surroundings, there are some micro nutrients in water but not enough to sustain cannabis plants through to flower. I do not think soil growers can just water and walk away either as soil may have more nutrients than tap water but soon this will be used up for food too.
It would be safe to say that plants can survive in just plain old tap water, my wife has many bamboo plants around here living for ages in water but once the plant uses up it's food store (found in the cotyledons) it relies on the environment for sustenance, the environment (nutrients, humidity, temperature, aeration) are major players in what is produced, and the type of strain taking 2nd place IMHO
