Do you need to flush when growing organically?

When is the last time Sensi Seed Bank won any awards? Honestly the worst luck I've had with any seed company so far is Sensi Seed Bank. Got 5 Black D drying at the moment and they show very little promise.

Simply put. NOT. If your garden is organic and you don't use bottles, there's no need to flush.
The end result is SPECTACULARLY white ashes and PERFECTLY smooth smoke!

If you're using bottles to "feed you plants" then you do need to flush.

Harvest organic plants to far, 2 flushed, 2 not....No difference :joint:

I also go AACT's up until the last week.

Interesting thread, I'd be flamed in a local dutch forum for not flushing (2 frigging weeks) when growing organic, though that typically does include a bottle, BAC bloei (bloei = bloom/flower nutes). The theory often parroted is that the organic ingredients will continue to be converted to nutes for weeks after you add them.

Simply put. NOT.
Ok, simply put. But less simply put then, does it not depend on what and how you feed? Besides bottled nutes. For example can and should you flush a PK boosting top dressing?

Its depends on the way your nutrients get delivered to the plants bro.
The "big bloom" and "grow big" and whatever else considered as an organic bottled nutrient, delivers nutrient to your plant in a chemical form.
They also deposit salts in the medium, which is what needs to be flushed...
But I haven't heard of the theory that you mentioned about the nutrients being converted for weeks are you add them..
I just know that the plants don't get anything chemical from the soil that's worth flushing.

In a good organic soil a flush is counter productive.
And IDK what a P+K top dressing is for you, but for me that would be a bit of bat guano and kelp meal, which I already have mixed into my soil.
There's no way to flush that out without pouring peroxide on the soil, or pouring an AMPLE amount of water over the soil, which would be counter productive.
Microbes in the soil are like little fertilizer bags which feed of what we feed the soil, and hang on to them until the plants asks for them. So the soil is full of nutes that can't be washed out because you can't flush the microbes out of the soil..

The plants produces exudates which signal to the soil ecosystem what it needs or wants as far as nutrition.
The don't get anything that they don't need from the living soil, and the form of "food" that they get from the soil must be converted first by the microbes in the soil into plant available form...Therefore, by the time they get there fix, it's in a pure plant ready form..

Maar, waar kom je vandaan?

Thanks for the info, makes a lot of sense. I haven't really delved into the topic but it was stressed to me in a dutch grow journal by some experienced growers that I should flush in time despite it being all organics (Sannie's way if that means anything, see starter pack in sannies shop.) I used batguano and palm tree ash as a dressing btw. I can't compare to not using it or flushing late or not at all since I've only done one run organics - best run overall I ever had though.

Oh and to answer you dutch question, I'm from the Netherlands ;) Did you move from NL to Colorado to grow? (considering your avatar)

Welke stad?! Ik heb een vriendin gehad! Maar niet meer!
Also played American football and voetbal en Amersfoort en Soest.

But I'm sample something Critical Jack that I pulled down yesterday...Still wet, just rolled it with a bog bit of tobacco so it's burn..
Smokes better wet than the weed I bough at the end of last week.
And I gave it an AACT about 4 days before I harvested, and water the night before I harvested as well, because I wasn't sure that I would!

But do without flushing this next time and you'll see that there's no difference than your first time!
I did :joint:

I'm from Paranoid Ville, pretty close to Amersfoort though :) I drive through it very frequently, by car and train, only been in the centre once or twice.

I switched to hydroponics, sterile with only mineral nutes for starters but I'll definitely try not flushing with a few plants if I go organics indoors again (usually got 5-6 plants so I could test the difference).

Lol....They're not looking for you unless you a mass producer over there lol.
Or in a border town exporting haha.
And organic's don't require any feeding bro! You can feed with organic teas if you please, but you don't have to!
Water only from start to finish! Green until the 2nd to last week of the plants life haha

But good luck mannnn.
Why are you so paranoid?!
I smoked a joint while talking to politie in Nijmegen haha.

I can tell it's been a while since you've been here :) Raiding "hennepkwekerijen" is the cops number 1 activity in most parts of the country, from Brabant to Groningen. The 5 plants limit was changed in 2011 already, can still have 5 plants, but as soon as you add nutes, use meters, or use lights, it's illegal and they destroy all gear (they even fill the carbon filter and exhaust with foam). Using hydro method, like I do, makes it by law a professional criminal activity. Outdoors is accepted only if neighbors don't complain. On top of destroying the plants and the gear the IRS will estimate how many cycles you did and whether that was for personal use only, if not then they tax and fine you.

Main person responsible is Ivo Opstelten, minister of Justice. He tried the "weedpass" so only dutch residents could buy on coffeeshops (obviously wasn't accepted by most cities including Amsterdam). And now all cities need to supply plans to him for growing weed to supply the coffeeshops (as it is illegal for coffeeshops to buy from suppliers, always has been).

And it's not about telling you or not, just not going to post it online in a public forum to be archived on the www for eternity. Besides that, the Netherlands is so small, everything is close to Amersfoort ;)

Left in Nov 2010 bro and heard about the weedpass but know its impossible to enforce as it'll KILL the dam.
Schipol too. Then probably the entire country..I'm talkin Greece status lol!
But I feel you..

And in North Holland its always been stricter right?! Ie Friesland?
I miss the duinen lol. And the fact the holland is the size of South Carolina at best lol, and you go EVERYWHERE with the bike and the train haha

And looking at what you just said, I see way that if u go organic u can lose the bottles, the meters, and the reservoirs...
you can hang strips of activated carbon..Ona... All that.

Prob isn't the same for you buying organic products tho hmm...
Can't be that hard tho..

As long as its still grey y'all are good haha.
no way the take the soul out of holland...
after weed there's hash lol then soccer then art then what lol?

hahaha I forgot about that lol!
And I don't really know how hahaha

There was no need for me to visit the district for more than viewing pleasures haha! And the f'd up part about it is that there's a "district" in pretty much every town haha, so there's no escaping infidelity for the women haha. DAMN!

26 coffeeshops closed in the red light district. In 2015 70 more (of the 220 in A'dam) must close. The city also has a fund which they used to buy up "windows" in the district, so expect less to "see" next time you visit.

It differs per county/city but they can be a little let's say old fashion up in the northern parts. In Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland, they want to do a test, allowing 1 coffeeshop to grow for all coffeeshops in Leeuwarden. Like having one bar brew the beer for all... another dumb idea.

The problem is that if or when it is legalized here it will still be illegal to grow at home, even worse, there will be extra tax fines (like extra tax on alchohol and cigarettes). So I'd prefer to go back to the good old days, decriminalize max of 5 plants without the footnotes about nutes, lamps, meters and hydro.

"and you go EVERYWHERE with the car and the train" Yeah definitely a major perk. Though if the weather sucks it usually sucks nationwide :)

During my previous run I haven't used a drop of ph -/+ and besides water (blumat tensio meter, which I highly recommend for you organic soil growers), temp and humidity I used no meters. So yeah, I know, very convenient :) That's actually partly why I switched to hydroponics, wanted something to play with, use meters and give more than mostly just water.

The bottle I used during flowering (at like 1/3 of the recommended dose) is B.A.C. Organic Bloom, part of Sannie's starter pack.

Nice! and I meant to say you go every with the bike and train lol not car! I noticed that I could often get from point A to point B on the bike, faster than in the car haha! And everything stick lol! It's a lot to pay attention to in the city with a car haha. Too much for my liking!

But I went to Leeuwarden too and yeah that would be so damn dumb lol.
They shut de schommel in Amersfoort down when I was over there bcuz they fined the owner like 25k and he payed them off lol like it wa nothing, but he couldn't show where the 25k came from, so they made him close the doors for good....
But I don't get it man...It's not even a problem over there....I see more homeless ppl walking broadway once up and down, than I saw the entire time year and a half i was there...

You would see a few young kids trying to get ppl to buy from the shops every once in a while yeah, but not on a regular basis....
So I don't see what the issue is...Other than than fact that bud get trafficked....
But hell, Rotterdamn is the trafficking hub of the world haha.

Write a letter telling them just to give up the fight haha.
And what about Gert Wilders?! Has he made any strong moves since I left lol!
It was big thing that he got some seats over there given he stance on islam lol

Oh and much healthier too to take the bike. Just doing groceries keeps me fit. I got this small bike I take with me on the train as well, to Amsterdam, else I spend 50% of the time there walking.

"But I don't get it man..."
It's a combination of the EU, and UN treaties (contains clause that NL doesn't pursue hobby growers with 5 plants, while obviously many have more), and the leading liberal party not being so liberal after all. Oh and Ivo Opstelten, minister of Justice... for some reason he's really anti-weed and a classic power tripper. The worst man for the job.

When they introduced the weedpass the many weedtourists from Belgium and France still came, but instead of being able to buy in shops we had 12 year olds selling bags, and they didn't just offer weed. So clearly it made matter worse. The weedpass is no more, and now each county needs to submit a plan on how they want to handle coffeeshops incuding the supply, and weedtourists. The minister if justice will then throw them in hat, shake and mix it, and then grab the winning idea - or whatever method politicians use to make decisions nowadays :)

Geert Wilders tried to gain a lot of seats by being anti-europe this time rather than anti-muslim, didn't work out very well. Still popular in some rural areas and typically amongst the less-educated, to put it mildly :) but not a serious candidate for anything.

Oh how I'm miss the simplicity of things man...
Like the fact that you don't need a car anywhere lol.

And that's shit in regards to the MOJ man...
Hopefully he's not for you guys what George Bush ended up being for us...
And I know for a fact like I said then in several arguments, that you guys don't wanna deal with proabition.
ESP. since Holland is a HUB for a lot of shit! And arguably a motherland when we're talking about bud lol.
It'd be terrible for the organize crime to set up in the ways the set up over here to move product.
And good nobody ending up taking Gert seriously..

But it's all in my avatar lol. It's crazy how things have changed man...
I used to think Holland was like the Mecca for smokers man! But then the west coast came up!
And now I'm growing my own..

And politics need an overhaul everywhere lol. It's like the times are changing too fast for ppl to keep up :peace:
Next up on the smokers mecca list, the Caribbean!

Ps,
If we(USA) aren't already "the" motherland of bud by now, we will be in 10 years lol! So just keep calm, and move to Colorado!

Oh in a way you always have been the motherland, in 1970-ish mj for creative use was spread from Cali to NL, after years, decades, of climatizing and breeding to increase THC levels we turned it into what we refer to as "Nederwiet". We still have a national holiday to celebrate the arrival of mj... ok not really, but we should!

But as you can see the new direction of the NL is not holding me back, just more careful. It seems growing mj is more popular than ever now. Growing my own is the only way I really know what I smoke :)
