I agree, even spread is important for the best results. With two 220 watt Alibaba boards in the 3x3 it would be almost wall to wall light. I would probably have to dim them but the coverage would be about as even as you can get.
 
and no thats just a pic of one plant, they've all been topped, ive enough kola's growing to last me six months, 3 more strains all seedlings in the veg tent, im doing ok bud
