Lol you're an idiot. Now that other countries have nuclear weapons, we have no choice but to maintain an arsenal for defence. I hate it too, but the alternative is worse.
Since we have the Bomb, we can use it to intimidate others into not trying to acquire it, hence NPT. It's a very logical policy on the part of the bully, to make sure no one else gets a stick big enough to whip him with.

Putin has never dropped a nuke but we have. How does our stockpile lead to peace but theirs doesn't? Putin is more sensible than a lot of our leadership.
We don't drop nukes anymore because occupation is so much more profitable. I would actually prefer a nuke that ended wars than decades of occupation but would prefer neither.
Not really sure what a stockpile does either. "We can blow up the world 20 times", "Oh yeah? we can blow up the world 150 times, better back off".
