Do your clones do this??? w/pic

ok so, this is my 1st time cloning,
and im not sure if they are suppose to do this. i know they are suppose to look like hell- and i have to give it a week to see if they survive, im just wondering if anyone elses do this.
This is 6 hours after cutting.
I used a cutting gel, cut them at 45 degree angle,
soaked the rockwhole in 5.5ph.

They might be to wet. I know they droop but those babies are laid out. Just keep rockwool moist and heat underneath and dome with good light and wait.
 
Yeah clones can be a bitch sometimes, and some plants clone better than others. This isn't the reason why they are drooping but when I take clones I take a clean razor and shave the bottom of the stem like a spear, way more room for roots to grow from. And i also use clone jelly.

How far did you stick them in the rockwool? Their stem should support them. I use rapidrooters for my clones with the spear thing and I have had 100% success. But I also bought a supplement for my water that promotes root growth. and I leave an inch of water in my cloner tub witht the rapid rooters in there so they can soak up water as needed.

I stick my clones at least 1.5 in into the rapidrooters.
 
I've had clones do that. Usually a sign that they are not happy about something. Watch your heat and the wetness, pull the light back a touch too. Seems to help them out. You'll probably lose one of those.
 
they are fine give then light they will come back it can take 2 weeks i dont use rockwool i use cups and tropical soil to start mine
 
hmm- i mean they didnt look that small when i cut them- they had 3 nodes on each and i cut right under the 3rd node.
to be honest this is my 3rd grow- and its been such a pain with this strain. my other grows were flawless.
but this is my 1st time cloning- and hopefull they pull thru. ill keep watering them
 
Dont let the rockwool be soggy it looks super soggy in the pic, its easy to damp off those guys dont water again till the cube is dry and remove excess water in bottom of tray, only mist leaves for about first week
 
If I were you after this try Rappid rooters. It is kinda idot proof, that is why I do so good with them! ;) You just put your clones in them in a seedling tray and keep 1.5 in of water in the bottom and the Rappid rooters will absorb the right ammount of water for the clones to live in. No guess work, just keep them sprayed down with water.
 
clones don't like too much light for a couple of days after cutting i find. what lights are you keeping them under?
 
they are under a 400mh light on 24/7
i have some of those Rappid rooters and the tray- i didnt think to use it also. think its too late for me to switch them?

So they look like they are doing alot better after the IMG_0454.jpg2nd full day of being cut. they are starting to stand up straight by themselves. which is awesome!

Happy to see your clones are looking better. Most of the time they need a day or two as you have experienced such. What would of helped is if you had the clones more off to the side from light, also humidity should be 95% first 2-3 days. Then 80% and so on as she gets roots. Make sure the medium does not go dry. Keep it moist moist for 7 days then back off a little but no dry. Also it would help your mothers if you blew the heat off the bulb away..if you do the bulb will burn brighter (more lumens).
 
nope didnt do anything- i spray them with ph water 5.7, i make sure i spray the inside of the plastic lip every 6-7 hours, or when dry to create more humidy. if you notice in the middle of them there is a puddle, i keep alittle puddle of water in the middle of them so with the plastic and the light hitting them, it gives them alot of humidy. and i spray them. i really didnt think they were going to make it. Couple of the fan leafs are starting to dry up, which i heard is good, cause that means they are pulling in the nuts they need t grow roots. Like Golden said, i try and keep the medium moist. and nature is doing its thing.
Golden i didnt know that, really if you blow the heat away from the bulb it creates more lumens. hmmm
 
hey everyone- just to give an update. so its been 10 days since i have tried cloning, and here are a couple of pictures of the babies.
So far i havent gotten any roots what so ever. so i bought a heating mat and removed them from the veg vent under the 400mh light it was under, i think that heat + the clones being alittle short have caused them not to grow roots.
They look healthy and good, just no roots.

anyone have any ideas on what else i can try?
