I medicate my mom with MJ because it helps her a lot. She recently went to the doctors and they took blood work and said they found marijuana in her blood. Of course they did, she smokes it cause its helped her more than any prescription she has. For pain, for her vascular disease, depression and appetite among many other things. The doctor told me and her if she continues to use MJ she will be discharged from the practice. I take care of her full time and her quality of life has significantly improved since she started smoking MJ. Medical marijuana was approved here but for terminally I'll patients only. I don't know what to do guys

like singlemalt said, they would have to go looking for it to find it in her blood, which theyre not supposed to do....who do they think they are breaching her privacy like tht? wtf they think they are...parole officers?

She's on pain medications and it was a routine test to make sure she's been taking them correctly. Its a test they hav e to administer by law I guess.

Just curios what state your in? Also Cbd oils are of course legal nationwide. That may be an alternative. Idk your whole situation though. I feel for ya and am sorry:(. It just sucks because the medical world many times is more worried about long term income and throwbacks from writin scripts like candy. I was lucky to find a very mj friendly doctor. Who actually recommended me looking into medicinal mj as an alternative to opiates.

Also is she on state insurance? I think that could play a role as to why they tested in the first place.

I told the doctor that it helps her a lot. She didn't even let me finish my sentence. She says the meds she's on she has to be on and MJ could interact with them. I hate pill pushers

yes but marijuana doesnt show up on tests like that, they had to of performed other tests, specifically to look for marijuana and probably other drugs, breaching her privacy.

here in canada ive had lots of bloodd work done and am not a medical mj patient. i was worried becuse iat the time i was doing coke, weed, extasy, pretty much everything lol

my doctors never said a thing because they arent allowed to do that shit here...and they arent allowed to discharge due to bias agasint marijuana.

sorry dont knwo what that means that means nothing to me lol sorry im canadian and health care is free lol
but yeah bro i feel for you, this is certainly an unjust thing to do to a sick person

and i find it hard to believe that mj would interact negativly with anything....fucking liars eh

cdb oil is ok but thc is the main pain killer due to disassociation of pain. it doesnt kill it, but helps u keep ur mind off it

The doctor knows she drinks a couple beers here and there and they had no problem about that. The second MJ was brought up or was like we were criminals and that's how we were treated. I explained how Mich it has helped her and she said to me in exact words. Your not the doctor I am her doctor and I know what medications are best for her and if you continue to medicate her with mj I will discharge you from this practice. This is New Hampshire btw

"i am her son, not you, and I know what is in her best interests and health, if you continue to threaten discharge, i will find a new doctor, and spread the news of how biased and un compassionate you are"

What is this physician doing/offering to your mother that can't be offered by another doctor?

Find another doctor, its entirely in your right to do so.
