Doctor tomorrow - quick question?

So I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for my first check up since I was ten. I'm sure they'll do some blood work and probably a piss test, and I smoked this weekend. I know there's no hope of flushing it out by tomorrow, so here's my question - At a doctor's office, are they going to care or do anything about the fact that I use mary? I mean, I'm not being drug tested, but there will probably be a piss test as a part of the routine. What I'm more concerned about than anything is my rents seeing that I use pot. I figure that the doctor won't say anything other than maybe "don't do that."

What do you think? Remember, I'm not being "drug tested." But there is probably going to be a routine piss test and maybe a blood test for me tomorrow, and I want to know what's going to happen when they see I use pot.

If your over 18 why the fuck do you care about your parents knowing what you do?

If u are just doing a routine check they won't check for thc, there is no crime having THC in your system, u might as well just have come back from a relaxing trip to amsterdam and its not their job to prove you are wrong etc. If u feel paranoid about it u could just call of the meeting and do it later wihout having smoked recently. But my honest guess is that they won't care if they would know and its probably against their "rules" to do anything about it.

Blood test: 24 hours
Urin test: 2-4 weeks (general depending on your metabolosim, vitamin & water intake)
Tissue sample: normaly up to 6 months if i remember right

From Google Answers: A routine urinalysis doesn't screen for drugs. A toxicology screen would have to be ordered.

Thanks. And I'm not being escorted to the doctor, ...., but since I'm still on their insurance, they'll probably want any sort of paper I bring home. However, not really too concerned, since apparently the urinalysis doesn't screen for drugs. I was kind of wondering if that might be the case, and I'm glad to hear it is.

Because I have to live with them, and because, at least for the next 6 months, they have the power to deny me internet. And since I wrecked my car a while back, being allowed to borrow theirs is a pretty nice thing.

Doctor patient confidentiality. He could be sued if he gave away any information.

they cant test for drugs without a tox screen order... unless you have other medical conditions why do they need to check urine and blood work on a young person? you are being overcharged and I feel that you are undergoing the stress and cost for no reason at all - what you are having done is a full physical and only needs to be done for employment or schooling policies. but they have laws to protect you from the doctor telling your parents any information without getting your consent first in writing!(unless you lied about age to get onto this website)
